My first experience and I enjoyed the aesthetic. We were seated in the back with the fireplace it was a nice vibe and made things cozy. We were able to watch the UMichigan game which made the guys happy. The drinks were really good and not expensive. The service was polite, not crowding and informative. The food takes a bit, but we had appetizers and were watching the game so we didn't notice. I chose the Caribbean Red Snapper which was cooked well. I recommend stopping by for a nice vibe, meal, and for drinks. Will be back. read more

Came in for National Margarita Day because they have $2.22 margaritas. Should've known they would be premixed. All you can taste is the mix, can't taste a bit of liquor. I had to get an extra shot of liquor to make it drinkable. It was so sour it was making me nauseous. Now I really love their pastas but today I decided to get the snapper. It was between the Jerk Chicken/Shrimp Pasta, the mahi mahi or the snapper and one of the servers (Talia) she told me to get the snapper and the snapper snapped honey. Sooooo good. I was skeptical because of the vegetable sauce/dressing they put on top but I was open minded and I lovedddddd it. I'm very satisfied with my visit nonetheless. customer service was really good. food was good. drink needed a little help but we got there. Can't wait to come back read more

I don't know why but I expected this place to be better quality, instead we got into the Dennys of Caribbean food... the worst part is that we went there for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Let's start with the restaurant itself. It's very old, definetly needs some update. It was not very clean, sticky tables, trash on the floor and the smell when you get to the stairs/elevator to go to the second floor where the bathroom is was terrible. Food wise, it was nothing to write home about. So, so average I couldn't belive it. We got the beef empanadas and they felt and tasted like a frozen item that it was just delivered to them and reheated... it was more like a beef stew... no good. They did not have some of the vegan items that I saw on their ordering website and the server had no idea why. I good the vegan tacos and side of plantains. These were also very basic, only guac had some kind of good flavor... had to request hot sauce to get some flavor out of these... My husband got their Lobster and Shrimp pasta and it had zero flavor. Yes, it looks good on pictures but it's tasteless. It was exactly like someone put cooked shrimp and lobster pieces in a already made sauce... He couldn't finish it cause it was so bad. We also got two drinks, virgin bahamarita and traditional lemonade and these were ok but too sweet. Service was the only good there. Our server was polite and attentive and tried to make our stay as good as possible. I do not plan to ever going back to this place. read more

Fun Caribbean vibe. The restaurant is aestheticly pleasing. Food has always been very good. They have a lot of options, but I wouldn't say this is the best choice for picky eaters who are more fond of less flavor and textures. Never had a problem with service. Have had to make reservations at times due to how busy they get. read more

First time coming my co-worker recommended it and I went with my sister in a Tuesday night around 7pm. Place was not busy at all so we were seated right away. The place was very themed and I loved the ambiance. We started with the crab 3 cheese dip upon tasting was absolutely delicious but we only got 1-2 bites in before we found a hair, we decided to not continue to eat it and to tell our waitress which was super nice and apologetic and took it off our bill. By that time our meals were out; my chicken sandwich was so crunchy and flavorful one of the best I've had and I am very picky about my chicken but I honestly can not complain the aioli on it was so good. My sister got the Jerk chicken pasta which is what I was decided between as well but ordered mine instead. The pasta was also absolutely delicious so despite the little mishap still overall really tasty and nice! read more

I'm so late posting this review & I just found out that this location closed :( I'm so bummed because the food was amazing, especially the coconut fried shrimp. My gluten free/vegan relatives also enjoyed eating here. I'm shocked that they closed because it was always pretty steady in there too. Too bad, I hope they reopen another location in the macomb area soon. Livonia is the only location left in the metro detroit area & that's way too far for me. read more

Located in Detroit Michigan this fits the bill for a great time and meal. The Beef Empanadas are great for and appetizer and filling. The Pineapple Shrimp Is absolutely a must if you want a tropical dish and healthy. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a unique flavor but since it was called Jamaican chicken it came with great expectations that did not quite reach the mark. Overall, a great place to eat and take your Family. The employees all looked engaged in their work. We had a super waitress that was phenomenal. Unfortunately, I forgot her name but I know that she has worked at the restaurant for eight years and trains the other waiters/waitresses. Had a great conversation with manager Edy that took time to find out how our experience was going. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Troy Michigan. You will not regret it. read more

We been wanting to try this place for a while and finally went last night. wow what a mess this place was and should've turned around when we walked in... the atmosphere was of old dirty tables and floors , our waitress was hard to understand and sound like she said she just got here from Albania all while forgetting to bring item asked for to the table like small plates for our apps, a round of beers and even parm for the pasta ... as for the food it has potential but the crab dip was fishy, empanadas we're old in the middle, my jerk mahi mahi was bland and also cold read more

My wife and I got carry-out from here recently. We were both impressed. My salmon had a nice hint of butter. The green beans and broccoli were done perfectly, not too crispy or soggy. The side salad was exceptional, with a fine lettuce mix and some nuts. The bleu cheese dressing was the best I've had recently, delightfully bleu cheesy. My wife said that her steak actually tasted like a steak, not something processed. Online ordering was easy and configurable. Curbside pickup was easy and fast. We plan to add this to our restaurant rotation! read more

Food, service and ambiance were all good. I like to get the jerk wings (cooked extra well) for the appetizer. I find myself always ordering the same thing when I come here. It has been years since I've been and I still only find the jerk chicken pasta to order. It's a classic. Never disappoints. I found the three cheese crab dip very fishy for some reason. I did not enjoy that. read more

I definitely liked the ambiance though I thought the music was a little loud for my liking. I went for a quick lunch with a couple ladies from work. We all really really wanted to try some of their fancy beverages, but did not because we still had to go back to work. Two of us ordered the tropical chicken salad and the other ordered a half order of the jerk chicken pasta. I really liked the tropical chicken salad with grapes, pineapple and the sweet vinaigrette dressing. I didn't like the goat cheese, I'm not a fan, and would've preferred a cheese that can be sprinkled throughout, maybe feta. All in all everyone enjoyed their lunch and plan on returning one day after work for some drinks! read more

Service and food has never been bad here! I usually get the jerk chicken pasta but wanted to switch it up today and tried the salmon tostada salad, and I'm glad I did! The tostadas are just crispy flour tortillas with cheese, so nothing really special, but the salmon was very delicious and the avocado was a great touch to the salad. Interior feels like a tropical vacation with palm trees and little cabana sections of the restaurant. read more

Spring break 2021 staycation dinner. It's like a vacation restaurant here. I love the decor and theme of this place. Came here for dinner after church on a Saturday at 7:30, we had reservations. They had a sign on the door that said reservations only. They sat us in the front room with the firepit in front of the patio bar area. This is like an octagonal room, and it echos in there so bad, it was super loud and there was 4 tables. Sadly this doesn't have the Caribbean ambience or decor like the main dining room, I don't recommend sitting here. We had tostones appetizer; my favorite thing on the menu. They are essentially chicken nachos served on fried plantains instead of chips. Lots of toppings, but many chips. The food was not bad, but the mahi tacos were too spicy for me. Maybe this place has spicy food, guess thats what they have in the Caribbean. Our waiter was a trip and out of this world, very flamboyant. He was funny. I'll be back, for the tostones, but only during happy hour for half price, M-F, 3-6. read more

I love going to Bahama Breeze, and while we were in Michigan decided to visit this location. The decor is fun and the restaurant definitely has a Caribbean beach vibe! I LOVE their happy hour, it's the best. Sad part is that it ends at 6pm. The drinks are always on point love the ultimate piña colada & the coconut shrimp are my favorite. Our server was phenomenal and so attentive of us. Thank you Lily K for being amazing. Restaurants need more servers like you. read more

Food was horrible the only thing enjoyable were the drinks I do not recommend and I have never had food so overcooked in my life and I felt so sorry for the poor server I know she felt horrible and helpless that she had to bring that food to our table she deserved a pat raise because she still maintained her composure while serving us definite kudos for her read more

I won't bore you with a lot of details. Everybody's been to Bahama Breeze so we know the play. The rum flight is the reason to go. We went on a Saturday night and the wait wasn't bad. I had the jerk shrimp pineapple bowl which was very delicious. My guest had the grilled chicken with cilantro crema. It is served with a slightly sweet glaze and melts in your mouth. Appetizer was crab and three cheese dip but we had them bring some celery. The main rum flight has three cocktails: Bahama Mama, Painkiller and the Rumrunner. Painkiller is delicious. Key lime pie for dessert. Restaurant is fresh, clean, well lit, comfortable, the corner booths are cozy. Restrooms are upstairs. Wow! I went to Bahama Breeze in Livonia this evening and it was so delicious. The firecracker shrimp had the perfect flavor and spice and the Bahama Mama drink was the perfect sweet balance. There was a very nice tall manager who was very nice and personable. She made sure my wife and my meal came out properly and that everything went smoothly. Our waitress Shayla also did a great job and was very attentive. This was my first time at this location and it was my best experience yet. read more

I've been here quite a few times and typically have a good time. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and luckily had reservations, they were packed! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and yes the sandwich was so good. Comparable to a chick-fil-a or Popeyes chicken sandwich, but felt light and "healthier" haha. I added Swiss cheese to the sandwich and had fries, it was all amazing. As an appetizer we ordered the conch fritters. I've had authentic conch fritters before so I was hoping they would be similar, but sadly they were not. They were mostly breading with vegetables inside, I wasn't the biggest fan of them. When my boyfriend left for the bathroom I asked my server if they do anything for birthdays and he told me that they can order dessert. I thought the dessert would be free, but the server never took it off the bill so I was not so happy about that. The dessert we ordered was the chocolate island and it was alright. Overall, I loved my meal, the drinks are usually tasty and pretty. I wasn't happy about paying for the dessert, but I would say it's overall pretty good here. read more

It was okay, came from out of town. I had the mozzarella sticks, they were okay. I had a drink as well, it was cool.

My family picked the Bahama Breeze. I kept asking. If I could get a meal with out peppers. I can not eat Peppers. No green bell Peppers. No yellow Peppers. no Red, orange or purple peppers. I was told the seafood Paella was with out peppers. The menu does not state Peppers. It came fulled cooked in Peppers. When I asked for it to be taken away. The waitress said just pick out the peppers. She was rude and I told her. I left the restaurant. We will not go back. read more

Just tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago on a Tuesday for a family birthday & had a great experience! Service was pretty quick considering employee shortages. We ordered the yuca cheese sticks & they were fantastic! We haven't stopped talking about them since!! We also tried the chips & guacamole. I am picky about guacamole, but really enjoyed theirs! For entrees, I ordered the jerk chicken pineapple bowl & would definitely order it again! My husband ordered the Cuban Sandwich with fries. We loved the fries, the sandwich was huge & he said it was good! For drinks, I ordered the margarita with a sugar rim (they did give me salt instead of sugar) & I also got the frozen bahamarita which came with a shot of cactus juice schnapps. Both drinks were really good! My husband ordered a Long Island & the Tito's beachside strawberry breeze & said he liked both drinks! The only downside was that we were a party of 8+ & had to sit at 2 separate tables. They were right next to each other, but it made chatting with everyone complicated. Otherwise, excited to go back! read more

Troy restaurant key lime pie crust us not what it used to be. Pie was good but crust was too light in color to be graham.

It's just that good ole you know what you're getting yourself into type of place. Their servers have always been great in my experiences and they have a great happy hour. That's usually when I go to take advantage of the half off apps deal. They have substantial app offerings and you can't go wrong with some wings and some dip and a couple of pina coladas or margaritas or whatever else you want that's tiki and tropical. Nothing to phone home about but always reliable and your company can always make it over the top...my company did. Good times. read more

This was my third visit, and probably not my last while visiting my mom. She wants to come again for their happy hour deals, which we haven't taken advantage of yet. Lunch is nice here. The atmosphere is welcoming as are the waitstaff and managers. The music can be a little loud, especially when there aren't many diners during lunch. I have had their fish tacos, shrimp tacos, firecracker shrimp, and their calamari. My favorite was the firecracker shrimp appetizer. If you like Bang Bang Shrimp, you'll love this version. You get quite a lot for $10.49. I'm not sure if it is on their half-off happy hour menu, but if it is, then go for it. Both tacos are an excellent choice. I most likely won't order the calamari again because underneath the thick coating, many of my rings were brown and dried out. I've had better for less than $12.49. My mom liked her lobster and shrimp quesadilla ($12.99), but I thought for the full (not happy hour) price it could have been a tad thicker with more filling. My sis and I tried it, and all we tasted was the fried tortilla. I also did not like their seafood chowder. It wasn't thick enough and had too many potatoes, and not enough seafood - mostly small pieces of shrimp and clam. Whatever you do, don't end your trip here without a slice of Key Lime Pie. It's devine, and plenty big enough to share with three people. Yes, three! And for sure, sign up for their email club. You will get a free appetizer on your first visit, $10 off $40+, and a free birthday dessert email. read more

So typical! The inside of this place was done up really well. Definitely a very unique look and feel to this restaurant. Their menu is quite large, with a ton of very unique and authentic options. Lots of cool drink options as well. Including one that comes in an actual pineapple! Of the few different dishes we ordered, none disappointed. They all tasted great, with my only gripe being their paella was a little too salty. Otherwise everything was good. Portions were also very good. Ended up packing everything up to go, including leftover appetizers. All in all a great experience, and definitely somewhere I'd visit again.
