The building is relatively small (but not cramped) and completely updated to look like a modern, inviting home. The feeling of home is echoed in the friendliness of each and every staff member. All of them are polite, professional, and friendly. Considering a dentist's office is the LAST place you want to be they definitely go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Both doctor and tech were open about each step without being intimidating. They are genuinely concerned for your comfort and conduct themselves effectively without being heavy handed. Booking an appointment is great. They send email confirmations with calendar entries for convenience. Rescheduling is a breeze. After leaving from a tooth extraction I was unexpectedly given a "gift from the tooth fairy" which included a custom thank you card and a gift certificate for a treat. The finishing touches were amazing on what was already a pleasant visit. Could not recommend them enough.

My final test is whether or not Dr. Blair makes referrals to other very good dentists. I need restorative work so she referred me to a periodontist. I am impressed. She sent me to a good one. If she makes good referrals my trust in her skyrockets. There is a ramp out front and the restroom is handicapped accessible. Looks to be wide enough for a wheelchair user too. I had a miserable experience with the first dentist I found when I moved to this part of town. I am so glad I now have a dentist who I can send friends and family to. No hesitation at all.

Gina Sanfilippo Monteagudo (the COO) even laughed on the phone and thought this was funny. Her husband Roberto Monteagudo owns both clinics. It is absolutely astounding that - in July 2023 - a business could be as ridiculous as this. Everyone with a brain knows that COV is about the same as a cold, that *even according to the CDC* cloth masks due nothing to stop the spread of respiratory viruses, that *even according to the CDC* the "vaccines" do not stop transmission, and that, frankly, they are next to useless. That is part of why *according to the CDC* only 17% of Americans, as of this writing, are "fully-vaccinated" with the latest boosters. I had not seen a sign like this - mandating "masks" - *anywhere* in the area, even at my doctor's office (they were holdouts), for close to a year. Wisconsin Smiles, if you wish to be this uneducated, unscientific, and insulting to your customers, that's of course your right, but do be aware that it will cost you business. I was prepared to take my entire (large) family here, but I'll never be back.

The hygienists have all been replaced and the good ones left are leaving left and right. The hygienist I saw 6 months ago is no longer there, what does that say? Today I had an appointment at 8am, and silly me I had it in my calendar for 8:45. My fault, yes. I'm a busy woman, and made a mistake. I received a call that they are charging my account $50 for a "no show" and that they will no longer provide care to me... Over ONE late appointment! I asked if I'd ever signed a document acknowledging the $50 policy and was told that I hadn't and that the new policy went into effect about a year ago. They are sending a final bill and refuse to provide my medical records to another office until the balance is paid. This doesn't seem legal yet alone I'm shocked that this is how they treat their patients. I'm just at a loss for words and respect for this practice and the new doctors that are running it into the ground. The previous doctor was incredible and so kind. This is so unfortunate. Off to find a new dentist and you should too! Don't get caught off guard like I did.

That one-hour drive has been 100% worth it ever since! They've handled several complex dental issues for me that other dentists struggled with--especially when it came to achieving outstanding cosmetic results. The work is always precise, natural-looking, and done with genuine care for both function and appearance. I've never felt rushed or like just another patient; they truly listen and tailor everything to what works best for me. The entire team is exceptional. Dr. Rosen is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and has a calm, reassuring manner that puts you at ease. Amanda and Jeanie are absolute standouts--warm, attentive, and so good at what they do. The front office staff is equally friendly and efficient; they make scheduling and check-ins a breeze. Despite the distance, I'll keep coming back because Wauwatosa Dental Arts simply offers the best dental experience out there. If you're looking for top-tier care, especially for cosmetic or challenging cases, this is the place. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! Quick turnaround for crowns and a partial denture. However, during the crowns, and they verbally instructed and then left an intern / trainee to do the mold, which had to be done twice before a trained dental technician came in to assist firsthand. They fitted my denture while my mouth was numb, as I was having lower crowns done when my upper partial came in. It was impossible to feel the fit and I obviously didn't realize how uncomfortable it was until the numbness went away. They were happy to schedule a couple days later and get me in for adjustments. Technician I had rolled her eyes several times during the appointment when I told her it felt like the partial was pulling my jaw inwards and causing headaches and asking her to continue making adjustments. It took about an hour and several attempts, but they finally got a more seasoned dentist to get it to fit right. The next appointment I had, I was in for a cavity. They numbed me but then the technician said that it was her professional opinion that the wrong tooth was called out on the chart for a cavity, and that it was the neighboring tooth, which wasn't completely numb. They didn't proceed to numb the correct tooth, and there was a little bit of pain, but at that point I had enough and just wanted to get out of the chair. Yes, I should have complained, but I had enough of Aspen dental as a whole at that point. I had one more appointment and when I canceled, the receptionist didn't even inquire why I was canceling and not rescheduling. So here I am on Yelp...

Avoid Dr. Azim Presswala. Zero stars. Deplorable service and a doctor who gives all other dentists…read morea bad name. I went to him with clear symptoms of a dental issue--significant pain and a visible swelling on my gum. Instead of taking it seriously or performing a thorough evaluation, he dismissed my concerns and told me it was not a dental problem. When I tried to advocate for myself, I was told I could go to Marquette's dental school so they could "tell me the same thing" because I was wrong. Being spoken to that way while in pain was not only dismissive, but completely unprofessional. Because I wasn't properly treated, I had to seek care elsewhere and was eventually given antibiotics by my primary doctor. The problem improved temporarily but was never resolved. Now, nearly a year later, I am dealing with the exact same issue in the exact same location. A different dentist has since confirmed that the tooth requires a ROOT CANAL--meaning the dental infection was there ALL along and was missed. This experience delayed proper treatment and caused unnecessary pain and stress. No patient should be dismissed or spoken to this way when they are seeking help. I would not trust this provider with my care and strongly recommend going ANYWHERE else if you want to be taken seriously. Thanks a-lot again Azim Presswala. You do not even deserve to be called a dental professional.

I am disclaiming here that this is exclusively…read moreabout the behavior of Dr Presswala, each and every one of his assistants were so incredibly kind and helpful. Anyway, I needed an extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth and I have never been met with such a harsh, uncaring, inconsiderate health professional. To begin with he had to put shots in my mouth. I do struggle with shots but I was barely moving and sitting still for him to do them. At the end I was grabbing at the waistband of my pants out of stress and my breathing may have picked up some but I truly do not believe I did anything to interfere with his work. Once he was finished with the shots and out of my mouth I began breathing heavy and was having a lot of anxiety, tons of shots in your mouth hurt man! Plus I waited until he was done to react, however, this made Dr Presswala frustrated regardless? He kept saying how me hyperventilating was not necessary and that I was fine. I thought that was pretty rude, if you're health professional youre meant to care about your patients and have instict to comfort them but oh well, I wasn't effected by this guy being a jerk yet so I didnt even think twice about it. Apparently when he went to get my boyfriend to calm me down he was all irritated about it too? But anyway I calm down pretty quickly and im talking to one of the assistants when he finally comes back and when he walks in he cuts me off and goes "stop talking." Rude but oh well and I laid down, then he goes "if theres any drama ill stop the procedure and you'll have to leave and find an oral surgeon." That is not the way you treat your patients who are scared. I am a Healthcare professional myself and you go into this field to take care of people, this guy very evidently could not care less about the patients and only cares about the money the job comes with. Threatening to kick me out mid procedure when I did nothing to interfere with what he did the first time is extremely unprofessional and plain mean. Im a scared 20 year old girl and this is a grown man, I did nothing to be treated this way. Anyway we continue with the procedure, I dont move as to not "inconvenience" the guy... during the procedure he was extremely rough, grabbing my face around, just hammering on my mouth with his tools. And yeah wisdom teeth extractions ain't fun I get that, but when I told people this story I got responses from multiple people saying their dentist was really gentle and had night and day stories compared to mine. I've had teeth pulled before, molars even, and my normal dentist was so nice about it! Dr Presswala is aggressive and uncaring with how he does his work, plain and simple. He was also clearly flimsy with his hand cause he cut my throat and lip with his drill. I think most people when they make a mistake like that at least apologize or mention that it happened. He didnt even acknowledge it happened, and normally this wouldn't have been something id even notice but it is just further evidence of the manner in which this individual treats his patients. Onto a slightly different topic, it is to my understanding that this guy treats people with badgercare pretty often. I strongly believe he treats people the way they does because he accepts a large demographic of low income people. He isnt making as much money as taking normal insurance, he doesnt feel that he has to be nice or give these patients a good experience. He is doing something "kind" for them so he doesnt have to be professional, right? This is such an awful and harmful business practice. If you do not want to take jobs you get less payment for, dont. If you think you are owed something because you were oh so gracious to take in low income clients, just dont take them in in the first place and let a better person in the world take on that role. People who are less financially fortunate should not have to be tormented because this dentist made the choice to accept low income situations. I am a girl in college, I have no other choice but to have state insurance right now. That does not mean I deserve less and should be treated like this. I could barely close my eyes the night after this man operated on me. This isn't okay.
