We ate here two times during my 8 days in Paris. I read about Schwartz's on TripAdvisor but was…read morenot sure where it was. We were wandering around our hotel's area and stumbled upon it. It looked very comfortable, just like a diner in the US. The place was hopping - it is very popular and had lots of seating. Our server was on her second day, back from 7 years in Quebec. She was very nice and made sure we got our big glass of ice with our water. We did not know the portion sizes the first time so we both ordered our own burgers. I got the hot and spicy, which the menu said had peppers on it, and my mom got the avocado cheeseburger. I got mine with just salad on the side, but my mom got half salad and half fries for no extra charge. A tiny thing of cole slaw also came with it. My burger did not have any hot peppers on it but instead some electric red sauce...and it was not very spicy. However, the meat was soooo flavorful and juicy. We ordered the burgers medium because from our experience, the French tend to overcook meat, but this came out a bit rarer than expected. We still enjoyed it more than the previous meat we had eaten. It was truly massive and we could not finish the whole thing. We returned towards the end of the week visit and split a cheeseburger the second time. The staff was once again friendly and efficient. This time we ordered the burger medium-well, and while tasty it was a bit dry. Oh well, it was still good! We also got a side of onion rings which were nothing special. This is a really great atmosphere and there is free wifi (you have to get the password from the staff). Though there were tons of people waiting for a table (and I am talking all times of night - we ate once closer to 7 PM and once closer to 10 PM), but the French never rush a meal. Our server told us to hang out, use the wifi and consider ordering a dessert "in a while." So turning the tables over for people is not a priority - very different philosophy than in the US. This is a fun place to go and if you have kids, they would love it too.

If you're in the mood for smoked BBQ, the Batignolles location is a great stop! We ordered the…read morespare ribs, beef brisket, smoked beans, smoked Caesar salad, and cornbread. The smoked beans weren't your traditional baked beans. Instead, they used black-eyed peas and kidney beans, which made for an interesting twist that turned out to be uniquely good. Paired with the subtly sweet, moist cornbread, it was a winning combo. The process is simple and efficient: order at the counter, grab a number, and they'll bring your food and drinks right to your table. When you're done, you can scan your number and check out directly. For visitors like us who didn't want to download the app, it was just as easy to take the number to the register to pay. The staff were all very sweet and helpful, which made the experience even better. Solid BBQ, smooth service, and a welcoming vibe, definitely worth a visit.

It was just like a cold loaded mashed potato, but delicious!! The Black Eyed Peas inside my baked beans threw me off a little bit, but don't get me wrong. They were still amazing. I got a kick out of the loaded fries because they used whole little golden potatoes and a homemade cheese sauce. We then we added pulled pork to the top for spectacular result. I had a delicious beer that I could not pronounce. We probably overdid it with a large assortment of the meats: specifically pork spareribs, a trio of different types of brisket, and smoked pulled pork. The total came to $95 and it helped us feel a little closer to home. leftovers for lunch !
