This place never disappoints. It is definitely a good idea to go before/after obvious peak times - it gets crowded quickly. Be sure to take some deli salads or cookies to go. But more important, and especially this year, wear your Red Sox gear when you visit. read more

Great deli and bagel place, I would highly recommend it. They have a variety of spreads and bagels, as well as omelettes and other breakfast options. It's a breakfast hotspot in the area, so I would plan on waiting around 10-15 minutes for a table during peak breakfast hours. It's worth the wait though! Good deli in Atlanta! Great tuna and matzoh ball soup. Their bagel sandwiches are also solid. My favorites are the Passion Bagel and Munchee Bagel. Bad service, when I asked the flavors they have for cream cheese the server made a face and had no interest in telling me the flavors they carry. She was not at all interested in providing any service. They charged me $30 for a dozen bagel and 2 half lbs cream cheese. When I asked for the details the cashier started challenging me why would I not trust him. After when I insisted for the receipt he called the server who cleared up it should be on $19 and the cashier returned $10. Bagels were ok quality and cream cheese looks like they use some ready made cream cheese and only add some flavors without mixing them properly which makes the cream cheese taste very odd as the salty taste of cheese does not mix well with the sweet taste of flavors they add. read more

Upon entering the building with my girlfriend, the smell of the store smells like a dead fish with inattentive employees that stared at us for 5 minutes before taking our order. We ordered a drink and a bagel and the employee told me to help myself to the drink while they made my girlfriends bagel. Upon pulling out my credit card and making it obvious that i was going to pay with card, I opened my drink and took a sip. After taking a sip, the employee said to me "we don't take plastic" and told us that we had to pay for the already opened drink and bagel with cash. Upon realizing we had no cash, they referred us to a sketchy atm in the back. Keep in mind there is NO sign ANYWHERE saying cash only. The atm has a 3 dollar fee that is unavoidable. So, we decided to not pay an extra 3 dollars into this literal scam and we decided to leave. The employees attempted to chase us out of the restaurant saying i had already opened the drink to which my girlfriend replied "you guys didn't disclose that they only accept cash" to which the employee reacted negatively with irritation. Then, the owner of the store followed us out of the store threatening us with her phone attempting to get our tag and report us when they were literally trying to SCAM us out of 3 dollars to avoid a card fee. Extremely unprofessional restaurant, will never go there ever again. Employees we're seemingly threatening and all seem to be in on tricking customers into spending an extra 3 dollars on every atm transaction. Never again. read more

I go to Bagelicious for bagels, lox, and several pastries every couple months. Bagelicious is a little more than two hours from my home in North Carolina, so I'm hungry when I arrive and I can't pass up a pastrami sandwich on seeded rye bread. It's well worth the drive. I'm from California and know good bagels...I'm not from New York or New Jersey where people apparently believe they are bagel authorities. Pffft. I always carry cash or my check book because I'm flexible; how I pay for good food isn't truly important. I don't want to make a best friend when I pay the cashier and the darling wait staff are hard-working people who do their best. You will not find a better bagel in Atlanta. I've been eating here for almost 20 years. We drive 150 miles round trip from Hogansville to eat here and stock up on bagels. We freeze their bagels and thaw them up to six months later and they are still better than anything else you can buy around here. (thaw in a sealed bag or in the oven set on it's lowest setting) Actually, saying it's the best bagel in Atlanta is faint praise. Wish they had 2.5 stars. That would be my rating. Born & raised in NYC, I have eaten many good bagels. Although the bagels here have a nice texture, they have a sweetness to them. They could save themselves money by not using so much sweetener in them, and using way less in the potato salad and coleslaw. Haven't tried the macaroni salad, so I can't comment on it .What's with the sweet touch? I know this is the south, but my northern taste buds don't appreciate it. Their fish salads hit the spot. Theres no food or dining experience like bagelicious and if im ever craving it, theres nothing else that will suffice. First of all you get a taste of new york as soon as you walk in which is a nice change of pace here in marietta ga. All the way from the accents to the yankee pictures covering all the walls. You get fast service whether to go or if you want to dine in. And then the food. A wide spectrum of options. My favorites are the french toast made with challah bread bigger than your face, the chicken luna which is a bagel, chicken salad, tomato and your choice of cheese (i get munchee), or a veggie omelette with extra cheese and a side of crispy bo fries and franks red hot sauce to top it all off. Oh and you can never go wrong with the classic bagel and cream cheese. (My favorite is the everything bagel) You have over 5 cream cheese flavors to choose from and there all thick and fluffy. Wow, considering this is about the best NYC bagel shop (or at least one of the few) that Atlanta has to offer I can't believe that there are only 2 reviews and more importantly that it's taken me so long to Yelp it! We found Bagelicious when we moved to Atlanta from Miami (a place that really knows bagels) over 15 years ago. There were a few more Bagelicious locations at that time and the one remaining (the original I believe) is a bit far from Downtown, but near my sister and brother-in-laws place so not completely inconvenient. But I digress...I LOVE BAGELICIOUS! I love their bagels, I love their chopped liver (I'm convinced it's the best in the city), whitefish, nova, cream cheese, rugalach, slaw, dr. browns diet cherry soda (ok, I can get that at Publix, but the fact that they have it), etc, etc, etc. The portions can be pretty big, as are their bagels, but if you like NYC delis, this is your place! read more

While the food is here is pretty darn good and I always leave with a happy belly, I really just can't justify coming here. Maybe it's because I'm not rich or from east Cobb, but I think that $10 for a basic bagel sandwich with a mayo-filled pasta salad is a little steep. Usually when I go here, the staff is very friendly and welcoming but today, with the exception of the nice girl at the register I felt a little unwelcomed. I came in and there were only two other tables and somehow it still took a solid five minutes for one of the four other men there to even acknowledge my existence and even offer me a menu. Our waiter seemed very impatient and in a hurry - I don't know what for since the place was practically empty at 2 in the afternoon. I'm all for co-worker friendships but when you're eating and they're yelling across the restaurant about how purple Powerade is kind of racist because its a stereotype for black people, it's a little excessive. The food is great but the employees are just awful. They act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you. The owner is unpleasant too. I hate going there but i have a dying relative that loves their food and after my experience today I felt like somebody should let them know they are in the service business and being pleasant is a part of it. First time visitor yesterday after going running and heading to an errand in this direction. It was not what I expected, mainly because of the table service. But for atmosphere and authenticity, Bagelicious earns a good review. I would dock a bit for the diner-type coffee. The positives are the friendly crew and the decor. Even though I'm not a Yankee fan, the theme supported the authentic vibe. My bagels were good, and they have some other specialty items (beverages, mustards, deli meats) that seem great to try. I have my favorite bagel places that I go to after running, and Bagelicious is a little out of my territory, so I probably won't be coming back here soon or often, but they made a good pitch on this visit. read more
