Looking for a hearty fast breakfast downtown and happened across Bagel Babes. Located in the parking lot of 8 ball coffee so you can grab breakfast and a beverage. The experience is contactless with a QR code and then they text you when it's ready so no actual babes lol. Anyway there are multiple bagel sandwich options with eggs any way, bacon or sausage with cheese. I ordered an everything bagel with eggs and cheese. The bagel was excellent soft and chewy, the sandwich could have used a little more fry sauce but overall it was still good. They also have bagel and cream cheese, but bagel flavors were limited with everything, jalapeno cheddar and one other flavor. Overall a solid breakfast sandwich choice in Southtown.

Recommend: Yes. I've been wanting to try Bagel Babes food truck for quite some time and finally made it out on a Saturday morning. Parking was a bit tricky since they only share about 3-4 spots with another vendor, and the rest of the parking belongs to Eightball Coffee, so that's something to keep in mind. Their station is very clean/well kept Once I parked, ordering was easy. They have a few ways to view the menu--a QR code and a TV displaying it--which was helpful since I arrived right around brunch hour and wasn't sure what to get. The staff was friendly and patient while I asked a few questions, and I finally decided on the **Mediterranean bagel**. OMG--so good. It was loaded with veggies and meat, and I'm pretty sure it had both cream cheese *and* red pepper hummus, which made it incredibly flavorful. It was filling and honestly one of those meals I kept thinking about for the next two days. The wait to order was short, and I got my food in about 10 minutes, which felt reasonable. At around $12, it's a bit on the pricey side for a bagel, but the portion and flavor made it worth it. I do wish they opened a little earlier on weekdays because I'd definitely stop by more often. Overall, I'd absolutely go back and would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.

Zero complaints about the service. The staff are friendly and patient and very accommodating. I just wish I liked the bagels. This morning we tried again. We ordered a Westerner on jalapeno cheddar- it came with scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon (I opted out of the chipotle sauce). We also ordered a Mad Turkey on sesame which was stuffed with bacon, turkey, cream cheese, and crispy lettuce. We also ordered the potatoes. The sandwich was good. The filling were cooked and seasoned well, the bagel had a nice spicy kick, but the bagel just felt dry. Bagels should be soft and chewy. I don't want to chug my coffee to get it down. Two sandwiches, one order of potatos, and tip was $35. For that, I want to really love the bagel.

I asked for a plain bagel with pineapple cream cheese, I was not disappointed. It paired well with a coffee from next door. The young ladies running the bagel stand were kind to my weird requests and made great conversation. Overall a pleasant experience.

Bagel Babes is the bomb! This new food truck is located in the Southtown area in the same parking lot as Eight Ball Coffee. They are open from 7am - 3pm or until sold out (whichever comes first). For my first time visiting I had their El American Bagel which has cream cheese, ham, bacon, cheddar cheese, sunny side up egg and house sauce. The bagel was HUGE and very filling. I would've liked a little less cream cheese, but that's just me! My husband ordered their Wild Alaskan which included cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onions and dill. It was not as large as mine, but equally is filling and delicious (he devoured it in minutes). Overall an amazing experience and will definitely be back to try some of the other bagels on their menu!

Bagel Babes is such a cute little food truck, perfectly decorated and located right next to 8 Ball Coffee (bonus points for grabbing a coffee while you're there!). You can use their tables if you're purchasing from them, but if not, there's not really a spot to sit and enjoy your bagel, so keep that in mind. The menu is limited, but the options they do have are creative and appealing. I tried one of their bagels, and while it was tasty, the texture felt more like focaccia bread than a traditional bagel. Still enjoyable though, and I'd definitely come back to try some of their other menu items!

Wow! Just absolutely perfect! These bagels tasted fresh, and flavorful to say the least. I mean this is definitely one of the top bagels places I've visited in SA. Really good stuff. They had a lot of different options that I've never seen before including a Mediterranean option ! Great stuff! Not to mention the staff was very kind and helpful for our first visit here and definitely had some pride to what he was doing. Overall they have cute branding and great quality work here. Would totally recommend!

Man this has to be one of the more creative bagel places. I had the mediterranean bagel sandwhich and it was filled with flavor and very unique. It is in the parking lot of 8 Ball coffee and while the menu was simple it was great. Great service and vibes as well. Will definitely be back!

Very cute, trendy food truck. $31 (after tip) for two specialty bagels, one came with a side of potatoes. Food came out within 15 minutes. Bagels were fresh, fluffy and delicious. Definitely will be back to try more!

Bagel Babes had a popup near Early Bird Coffee and my cousin and I stopped by their tent so we could pair a bagel sandwich with our coffees. I ordered The West which has scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, and chipotle mayo. I picked a jalapeño cheddar bagel to pair with it. Oh my goodness - what a delight! My bagel sandwich had turkey bacon in it, and I was only able to eat half before I got full, but you bet I enjoyed the rest of it later. My cousin actually finished hers. She got the same thing but on a sesame seed bagel. Their main truck is over by Eightball Coffee, but their tent by Early Bird is apparently there pretty frequently. I live closer to Early Bird, so if I have a hankering for a good breakfast bagel sandwich, I know where to find one now. read more

The bagels were hardy and delicious, definitely freshly made. There are plenty of menu options. Service was great, walked over to the coffee shop while I waited for my bagel. The food truck sits right next door to Eight ball coffee where I ordered a fresh drip with pistachio milk and a hint of lavender. Coffee was great! Stopped by this Saturday morning because I had seen them on socials and have been wanting to try. Parking is easy, you can just park in the parking lot that they are located in. If it is full, there is street parking. The girl that took my order was very friendly. I ordered the all American (I think that is what it was called) that comes with bacon, egg, and cheese. You get to choose what bagel you would like - I chose the jalapeno cheese one. You also can choose scrambled, over easy, over medium for your egg. I went with scrambled. They also offer if you'd like potatoes on the side. They give you a beeper to let you know once your order is ready. It didn't really take long, they were quite busy as well. Pinche cruda guey. Needing to head back to the Austin area, opted to stop by here to try them out as I've been craving a good bagel and we needed something to help soak up the peda from the previous night. Well "good" is not even the beginning on describing this joint. Had their Alaskan bagel sandwich and my goodness, what a treat. Packed with smoked salmon, this sammich hit the spot. The combination of the dill, crunchy red onions and capes on that everything bagel was perfection. Both of my friends culeros had the same thing, El American, which I must say, it was pretty freaking impressive; not sure how 1) so much food was stacked on that bagel and 2) I was able to fit it in my mouth to get a taste. It was equally delicious. I wish I had taken photos but they probably would not have done the sandwiches justice. Definitely worth the drive and the wait to try this place. read more

Soooo good. I got the meat and pickles bagel a little sad cause I was missing the pickles but all in all it was very good. I also got a hashbrown I didn't like the hashbrown as it was a bit too crispy and greasy for my liking. Service was great and welcoming. I cannot wait to go back and try their other bagels. read more

I went to Bagel Babes after a quick google for solid bagel places near me. And let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. I got the El Americano on a Jalepeno Cheddar bagel. Really disappointed about my experience here. I came in from TikTok and we live about 25 minutes away, but I really been excited to try this place. The line was super long (but worth the wait if it's good, I don't mind waiting). I ordered the Mad Turkey and items were incorrect or not even added on my bagel. Even paid $1.80 extra just for Avocado and didn't even get that! My boyfriend ordered the Nashville Chicken and again items that we paid for weren't even included and also incorrect. The chicken was so small and looked so sad and dry. We said bacon on the side multiple times, even asked one more time as we were paying and that also was not included. Super overpriced and not worth it. They were having a "gas issue" and could not make most of the menu. Also, not having a phone number to contact about corrections is frustrating and seemed like I got scammed paying EXTRA for items we do not even have. Very disappointed and would definitely pass! read more

Not very good. I ordered the bagel with lox and it tasted like bacon. The bagel wasn't tasty at all either. I was hoping for a closer bagel place to my house so was quite disappointed by the quality, especially given the price. Would not recommend if you know what bagels should taste like. read more

Disappointed. The bagels were very dense & very heavy. Also, wanted to get a bagel and cream cheese in addition to a sandwich as that's typically how I judge a places (with the basics) and it was $7+. Unfortunately I think there are better and more affordable bagels elsewhere in San Antonio. read more

The first time we had this place about a month ago. This place seemed promising, the food was good. The service was quick and located in a good spot. So I took my husband to try this place. The food we got was cold. They had run out of bacon. Which both our order were supposed to have. My husband had to change his because of it. When we received our order. The bagel was hard and they had mixed up our orders between us two. Very disappointing, I guess won't be returning, sad. read more

I don't really remember what sandwich I got, but I remember it being good, and I definitely had leftovers. Service was good, nothing spectacular or over the top. Order was ready pretty quickly as well. The neon lights are a nice addition and eye catching. Thanks for a nice preflight and flight meal.

Our order was delivered to the door by Jeanine herself and she is the sweetest and most approachable person! Once we got our order, my husband and I went to town to try a piece of everything! The everything bagel and jalapeno bagel just as you imagined it- so fragrant as if you were to have picked it up yourself at the bakery but with a twist! It was so so fluffy and with each bite, we got a piece of the jalapeno or everything seasoning on it! Perfect texture, perfect amount of chew! After we snacked on the bagels, we decided to make our way to the loft of sourdough bread. OH MY GOODNESS, the loft of bread is a hefty size for one but when we sliced into it, that CRISP from the first slice sent us to the moon! The sourdough was fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. We immediately looked at each other, smiled and took a big bite out of it! Once we were done mooning over the sourdough bread, we made our way to the pretzel dogs. The pretzel dogs were wrapped with a flaky crust and full of flavor as well. We decided that this would be the perfect snack idea or lunch idea for the kiddos or even for my husband himself. Very compact, portable and easy to eat. Who knew that something so simple would taste this delicious when you have it freshly made with homemade dough instead of store bought?! Last but not least, my favorite were the hand pies! For one, I've never had something called a "hand pie" but two, they are adorable! Literally, a hand pie is a pie that fits into your hand but these are just even more special! You can tell that it was homemade as no two pies were identical but they tasted amazing! A flaky crust with a coating of sugar crystals on the outside and bursting with fruit and filling on the inside! The hand pies even have a heart cut out in the front as well. Super adorable and oh so yummy! Will we be ordering again? YOU BET!!! Everything we got was stellar and we can't wait to try more of what Jeanine has to offer! We love supporting small and local businesses! Prices are reasonable as well- remember, when you're supporting small and local businesses, prices are going to be a little bit more expensive compared to the mass produced market items, but you are getting quality items that have been handmade (which takes time) with locally sourced ingredients. We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa!
