It…read moreseems the staff here has hosted so many events it appears effortless and since it's members only to tee-off (meaning you can play with an invite) I'm here for an event and an evening of delicious food and alcohol, after all it's a celebration. We raised a glass to cheers my dear friend and a big thank you for the invite and I may have planted a kiss on her cheek. The private venue offered some socializing we've been missing with our good friends and of course the incorporation of some social distancing, but still the accommodations offered an intimate setting and the staff completely understands the importance of giving everyone space but still managed to provide exceptional service. I know there's an invite pending for a wonderful dinner in the near future and after touring the restaurant and sports bar it's looking like I'm going to have to drop a few more hints so I can experience it all. This is a beautiful Country Club with lots of amenities with a small membership, there's nothing not to like about this place...

After being…read moreinvited to play in a tournament I was really looking forward to getting out and enjoying the day with my friends and making new ones. The weather was absolutely beautiful as were the greens - the fairways were a little dry even after torrential rains the day before but we still manage to shoot a solid round. The course is pretty wide open and although there are a few challenging holes I think it's a course you can shoot a reality low score if you manage this course rather than let it tempt you to ignore the risk on some of the more challenging holes. The staff here is very friendly and provided outstanding customer service on the course in the club house, restaurant and bar. I loved that on most of the holes requiring a driver you could swing away and the course rewarded you with a great opportunity to get to the greens in regulation providing lots of of eagle and birdie opportunities. The greens were pretty true and fairly easy to read but were extremely fast so if you "hit a house" you won't like the results when you blow by the hole. This is a course I definitely want to take on one on one verses the scramble I played today, although the "par is your friend" format was fun and rewarding as it should be. The prices here are very reasonable at the club house, restaurant and bar. This course if definitely a hidden and non-pretentious gem in NSB - I will definitely return...

I have signed up to do the Camino de Santiago hike in June with several friends. This will be a push for me but I am excited in my training for the hike. I have been expanding my miles with the Brooks that I have but also realized I needed to "find my shoe" and train with that (plus have a back up). Andi got me started with two throughout assessments of my feet. I have had something similar years ago, but no where near as extensive. This alone made the visit highly valuable for me. I came in with an open mind and my goals. She was able to find 3 pairs that fit incredibly where and a whole size larger then I normally choose. The 2 Karhu will be for the hike training and the Altra are for the HIIT gym (where they have already proven to be a big improvement). Along with a sock recommendation, which feels like a perfect marriage. She even measured me for the medium knee brace to help with the gym. I look forward to coming back in the next few months to see how my feet are adapting to the training. Let it be noted, I live in Miami, where there are plenty of similar shops, but I split my time between there and Port Orange and I am always thrilled when I find a awesome place to shop up here. This store is an easy 5 star with it friendly and knowledgeable staff, wide selection and efficient process for selection. Extra bonus for me, all 3 shoes were on sale, so 5 star value also.
