My eyebrows have never looked so good. I was nervous about finding an eyebrow waxing/threading place since I moved to a new city because I love my full eyebrows but they can get a little unruly at times. She is amazing at shaping, sometimes, eyebrow places will do it so fast your eyebrows look uneven and you look like you're permanently questioning life. Not here. She took her time, was very delicate about it (and I'm a baby for pain tolerance), and made sure the wax was not too hot (something I really appreciated as I've been burnt before). I'm new to Houston and I didn't know where to go for my brows. As an east-coaster I am used to getting my brows threaded and not waxed. Finally found Badri's by driving by but it was late and they were closed. So I went to Badri's over my lunch break and had a great experience. In less than 10 minutes she left me with perfectly shaped arches and the nice thick brows that I worked hard at growing out. Wouldn't trust anyone else in Houston with my brows now. Thrusha is amazing. I was a walk in and had a really bad waxing job on my eyebrows. I grew them out for three weeks and was in the area so I stopped by. Let me start by saying that my eyebrows were really bad I mean I couldn't even picture them being fixed or looking decent after just one appointment. She did such an amazing job, my eyebrows are now even and have shape. I didn't even think it was possible to fix them right then and there but she made it happen! She's very nice and very quick and she will listen to your requests. The threading was a lot less painful than places I've been to before. Although I live about an hour away I will definitely be coming here regularly. I highly recommend her for eyebrow threading. read more

I went here on Saturday afternoon to get a haircut without knowing a thing about the place. It was nice and clean with a great a person who greeted me upon arrival. I have to say that this place is better than most. First, they rinsed my hair. Then, they gave me a haircut. It took a while but it was worth every second. Later, the lady shampooed my hair and I left a tip for her. Later on, I went to the Galleria mall which was near and I have received many compliments for my haircut from my friends. Have to say that I am impressed with this place and will be coming back as soon as my hair grows up. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They have really bad attitudes and are very disrespectful. I bought a groupon for henna and right when I entered she didn't greet me then I proceed to tell her me and my friend wanted a henna and she rolled her eyes and asked to see my groupon. I bought the one that was $18 for 2 medium henna. One was for my friend. She proceeds to tell me with a rude attitude, Your friend will have to buy another groupon because you can't use the same one. If that's the rule that's the rule but please next time have a better attitude. And actually be more welcoming when ppl come in. Saw all the great reviews so thought I would try it, not easy at all to find a good brow specialist. They only thread, no waxing of brows. I have threaded before but often times when I do threading, they do it too thin and don't take their time to look at your brows to see what would work and just rush. Unfortunately this was the same experience. My brows were thick before and I said please don't make them thin, but that's what she did. And the brows looked completely different from each other. So I was pretty disappointed with that and will have to grow my brows out again. If you like very thin brows then this may be for you, they are very nice ladies, but I won't be going back myself. read more

This review is based strictly on my experience with a Brazilian wax. I would not recommend getting one here. I had an unpleasant experience compared to all of the other places I've been. Although the staff was very friendly I did not enjoy the type of wax and procedure that was used. They use a chocolate wax with sticky strips. It was extremely uncomfortable and everything was sticking to me. She had to go over the same area several times which caused major irritation. I'm sure the other services are different but would not recommend for a Brazilian wax read more

I love, love, love this place. I have been coming here for my bikini wax and eyebrow threading for months now and the service is always great, as are the results I get. I recently got a keratin treatment done on my hair and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. The process was painless and relatively quick and the owner of the salon was the one who actually did my hair. She was knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Since the hair treatment, my hair has been smooth, straight and as silky as ever. It has shortened my styling time dramatically and has allowed me to finally beat this Houston humidity. Great work at a great price. I had a cut, color, and threading. After an unfortunate result from a coloring, I wanted to go back to my natural color. They nailed it, the color is almost to an exact match to my real color. The threading was great; it look less than two minutes. As for the cut, her experience showed when she layered my fine hair (which usually can't take much layering without the ends looking scraggly or getting a no-hair spot). Both the owner and the other cosmetologist were pleasant, professional, and treated everyone who entered the salon with respect. On top of the phenomenal service and work, the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be returning, and recommending to others. read more

I had an amazing microderm facial here a couple weeks ago. It was a full hour and downright inexpensive for the quality of service. She took her time and was very thorough, always checking to make sure everything was OK. My skin was glowing for days after. I went back and had my roots colored (I believe she only does single process color but is looking for someone to expand that side of the business) and also had my brows threaded for the first time ever. Very thorough dye job on roots (not a single straggler gray hair). Great shaping on my sparse brows. Bellaire isn't really convenient for me but I'm definitely hooked! Here are a few things to know: currently it's just the owner who provides all the services so she can get busy. While she was doing my facial, she left a couple times (while the steamer was going and right after she put on my mask) to service another customer. This did not bother me at all (in fact, made the facial feel less rushed and more thorough), but I know some people might not like that. I was there on a Saturday over Labor Day weekend so if you go during the week you can probably avoid that. The other thing to note is that it's a small place so if there are multiple customers, you will hear the chatter, even though she has two back rooms. Neither of these facts bothered me at all - her level of experience, thoroughness, friendly demeanor, and more than reasonable prices make this place a true find. There were quite a few people coming in for bikini/brazilian waxing who left happy so I think that is one of her specialties too. read more
