After reading the reviews decided to give Badri Brows & Spa a try for eyebrow waxing. I was greeted upon entry. The business was clean and neatly organized. Sumnari waxed my eyebrows and suggested I try threading as it would be a cleaner look. I was satisfied with the results after she waxed and threaded (for an example). Sumnari was nice and very professional. 1 star was taken off because when I arrived I was the next person to be serviced. However, a woman entered shortly afterward and was taken into the room for waxing before me. While she may have had an appointment, it appeared that she knew the technician, therefore, was seen first. While I was not WOWed by the experience, I will definitely return. Sumnari also did a beautiful henna tattoo on a woman's hand. read more

I was in the area on a Friday afternoon, and the yelp reviews convinced me to head in. I called on my way over and Trusha answered. I was only 10 mins away. I told her what I needed and she did exactly that. She takes the time and doesn't rush. Forgot to ask if they take plastic but I paid cash. Eyebrows were $10 + $5 for upper lip. She mentioned she was once @ the Galleria @ a space near Macy's. I try to avoid places near the Galleria due to the insane traffic. This was perfect near the city of West University! She is on the 2nd floor of the shopping center. She's a great lady! read more

Thrusha is a consummate professional - clearly knows her business well and how to keep clients coming. She has a clean, well located place in Bellaire convenient to most places in the loop. She was very easy to make an appointment with (got my eyebrows done and arm wax) and quick to boot. Super happy with how my eyebrows came out - well defined with a great shape (as one with thin eyebrows I am SUPER picky about them). Went for a groupon facial and left after about 80 minutes glowing, both inside and out. Trusha, the owner opened Badri just six months ago, but her 30 years of cosmetology expertise is astounding. Her pride for her space is evident as it is super clean and organized. Moreover, her genuinely kind spirit and knowledge helped me feel comfortable and she answered all my questions, giving advice and tips and steamed, extracted, and exfoliated my face with an array of Origins products. I was the only customer in the salon (it was a Monday around 2) and loved the 1 on 1 attention. I will definitely return for a facial, which she offered at a discounted rate for next time too. I have been in Houston for 3 years and literally been having a hard time finding an establishment that is clean and also that are good at threading eyebrows. Let me just say this just go once and you will never go anywhere else. Thrusha is truly gifted and she will take the time out to give you exactly want you're wanting. I have an high arch and it drives me crazy I told her i wanted it taken down, she was able to give me what i wanted without taking my actual arch down and messing it up, which was her concern. Waited 20 minutes came in during my lunch hour to get my eyebrows done the lady was nowhere to be found except a "front desk" type woman who told me that it would just be a minute there was one person in front of me and one person who came in behind me. Could not wait any longer so had to leave unfortunately. At least be honest about the wait, I could've left right away and came back another time. Call ahead if you want to know the wait! Seldom do I write a 5 star review. However I'd been doing my own brows since I moved and I just couldn't take enough time to do a good job on them anymore. Since I'd done threading for over 15 years, I knew I had to find someone who was capable. I have the kind of brows where mistakenly removing 3 hairs will leave a huge gap since each brow hair is so thick. On one occasion I went to a pretty well known location and left with a 1/3 of my brow missing. This is a new place but the owner is nice yet professional and has great prices.
