We appreciated the way the manager handled it. They acknowledged that someone should have spoken with us before it became an issue, and that made a difference. The only concern was that our server did not keep us informed during the delay, and that may be a training opportunity. There was a sign out front that states "lunch specials" with the time, can't recall the exact time but it was something like 11-2 or something like that, when we sat down I asked our server about the lunch specials and she said they don't do that on weekends, so I asked then why is there a sign out front advertising it and i went back outside to confirm it said nothing about weekdays only, which it did not, so I shared that with her and she just said sorry they can't honor it. I just don't understand why they think it's ok to advertise things and not honor them..... it just baffles me, and I'm shocked if no one else has complained about this. The bar and seating areas were clean with plenty of seating, and the lake view is beautiful -- definitely a great spot to sit back and enjoy a drink. It has a relaxed, classic lake bar feel. We didn't order food from the menu this time, but they do offer food. There was also a local woman there selling homemade sourdough bread that was to die for. I took a cinnamon roll home with me and it was so fresh and delicious. Overall, a really nice stop for a drink, great service, and a great view. I'd definitely stop back again.
