Such an old school bowling alley but we love it. Only thing in Baden that something for the whole family to do

Our group of 9 paid for two lanes and two full games, but the manager rushed us to start even though the place was empty. When we tried to add a cousin whose game we had already paid for, we were told we didn't pay--despite having an Atm receipt, which you need to use since you cannot pay with card. We felt singled out and disrespected, and the entire interaction felt uncomfortable. read more

Pretty standard as far as bowling alleys are concerned. We showed up mid-afternoon on a Saturday and about half the lanes were in use. It was $20 for shoe rental and two games for two people which seems pretty reasonable to me. Though there isn't anywhere to order food inside we were just fine to run out and grab something on our way home as there are several options within a couple blocks. read more

Our church Adoption support group went to Baden Bowl for our annual family bowling night.  I HAVE NEVER experienced anything so awful in a place that depends on repeat business.  The owner was incredibly rude to each and every one of my families. Sadly a very nice gentleman, (an employee) was forced to harass us on his Bosses behalf.  The owners rudeness started the second we arrived.  Then he made it LOUD AND CLEAR to his employee that he'd better make sure that we got out and to not let us linger.  He made it very clear he wanted us to be done by 8:45 and if we were not done with our second game by then he was shutting off all 5 of our lanes.  (We were told There was a 2 game MINIMUM.) -He really hated that we brought pizza.  He approached me when i brought it all in and very rudely said "we don't allow food, but since my wife said you could then fine.  But I don't want any grease all over the bowling balls so theyd better not bring food down there". And thats when he FIRST told me to remember we only had 2 hours there was no way everyone going to have time to eat.  If we weren't done in time he's shutting off the lanes. When I told him how disappointed I was about how we were been treated, and that We had been doing this event every year for the past 5 years at Baden Bowl -but would not be coming back, he said.  "Good!  Don't come back!"   The evening came to a close with every one of our families angry insulted and shocked at how we were treated,  and ended with him accusing us of not paying enough (trying to get me to pay over 100.00 that he claimed he was shorted), and shouting expletives as I walked out while threatening to sue me.   He over charged one family, and short changed another.  Not a good night.  So disappointed.  And believe me when I say that we did NOTHING to provoke him.  We were just here to fellowship with other foster and adoptive families.  -Maybe think twice about going there. Everything could improve. Balls and shoes in horrible condition. What place in the 21st century does not accept cards as a form of payment?

Ok, so at first glance into the parking lot, it doesn't seem very organized and was difficult finding parking. Not a big deal. Walked in and the environment was what you would expect from a decent bowling alley. Asked about cosmic bowling and starts at 8. Kids really wanted to bowl with the lights. There is absolutely no music playing at 6pm. They don't have food available so you have to order from a fast food joint and I my fingers were killing me trying to press these old school buttons to start the game. I played one game and left to get some food. Not impressed with the place at all. Needs updated thoroughly to have some fun. Also I could not find a ball to fit my fingers. I really don't have much good things to say. read more

I rarely write reviews, especially detailed negative reviews ,but I feel it is necessary to warn people after this evening. We will never go back to Baden Bowl. In May, I called and booked three lanes for approximately fifteen people, three games each, for July second. The person on the phone asked if we needed a table behind the lanes and I confirmed with them that we would be bringing food. He said that was fine. I did not get his name, but I wish I would have. July second arrived. We had three small tables put together, which Frank- who worked there and let us in- said was fine. He offered to do it himself. He also offered a white, longer table, and let us choose between the two. We had some cookies and fruit, a cooler with drinks, and were going to have pizza before we left. We ended up only having nine bowlers rather than 15, which meant we overpaid them about $60. They said that they could not refund that because they already recorded the number for the people who run the actual data for the lanes. While an inconvenience, lots of places have similar policies, so that was okay. Toward the last part of our time we were waiting for the pizza. The kids were having fun, and one of the other parents offered to buy them another game or two before we left. At the time, there were two other groups of people in the building. The other lanes were empty. She came back from the counter area saying that the person there told her that she could not buy any extra time and that we had to leave because we never said this was a "party", but he thought it was, and that because he thought we lied about the arrangements we could not stay. I thought it was a simple mix up. I had everything I originally planned on the phone written down and with me, and the bowling alley confirmed the plans with me during the week. I approached the counter and started to ask Frank what was happening, show what I had written, and ask what needed to be reconciled. Another man was there- Jimmy- and he started yelling at me. He told me that we had a party, which cookies and fruit are not, did not pay the rate for a party (which to my knowledge would actually have been cheaper), and we weren't allowed to bring food in. I attempted to tell him multiple times that I spoke to a man on the phone months earlier and confirmed everything, but he would not listen. He kept interrupting and telling me I lied to him. I asked if he was calling me a liar and he asked if I was calling him one. I told him no, that I was trying to explain, but he still would not listen. He asked who I originally spoke to on the phone and I did not have their name. I tried again to say that we already paid, we did was agreed on, and we offered to buy more time. He said no, that they were closing "as soon as we left". He also told me that they were closing at 9:00 pm. The Google Search results say 10:30 pm, and their official Facebook page says midnight. I believe he was lying to us to get us to leave. I asked for our extra $60.00 back since he would not let us buy more time and was basically kicking us out and he said no. He also complained that our children were bowling too slowly. I asked why he was willingly turning away business when there were three customers in his bowling alley and he kept saying the same thing repeatedly. He was stuck on that we "never said we were having a party", which we weren't, and did not believe me when I said, several times, that the person I spoke to gave permission for what we had. Also, it was allowed in the place when we were let in. At no point were we told no about anything until we asked if he could buy more time. All of our children were well behaved, we set up and cleaned up ourselves, and we did not leave a mess. I told him that I did not like his attitude and that he had no right speaking to me like garbage. I asked him if he was the owner and he said no, which was a lie. A person who knows him personally was in our group and said that he is actually one of the owners. I asked him who owned it and he said George Martin. Also, this man told me his name was Pete when it is Jimmy, apparently. He then threatened to sue me. I asked him if he wanted my address for his lawsuit, which he said he had written down already. I told him I was not sure how he could sue me for his horrible behavior, then we packed up, got our pizza, and went elsewhere to eat. Another person in our group told us that they also had a negative experience when they had a birthday party there. It is a shame, because I like to support local businesses and they were good to deal with when my child went to a bowling club there before the pandemic. Frank, who I mentioned above, was very nice, and apologetic for our experience. He deserves all the credit for the good parts of the evening. I've been to Baden Bowl many times in my childhood. Its the nicest bowling alley in beaver county. I haven't been here in awhile so i was excited to head to my nieces 5th birthday party here. The party was from 1-330. 2.5 hours to bowl is a great time period. The parties are in the back in the cosmic bowling area. There was also music which was actually good, new stuff. All of the employees were friendly and didn't seem to get upset that 3 two year olds kept getting balls stuck on the alley (sorry!!) We ordered pizza and brought our own cake so I cannot comment on the food.. I'm unsure of whats offered but I do know they have vending machines .. I do remember seeing a sign for food just unsure what's offered The party area, staff and time frame were all amazing. The bathroom was clean and looked newly remodeled. My niece and her friends were happy so that's what matters. 4 stars for the nice staff, updated cosmic bowling area and party time length. read more

Baden Bowl - Cosmic Bowing Party (2.5 hours) - Bowling Near Me - Baden, Pennsylvania

We aren't the best bowlers but we love to have a good time. We were instantly greeted as we walked up to the counter. The gentleman guessed our shoe sizes and was pretty right on. The place was somewhat crowded but just with people looking to bowl. The staff working there was super friendly and we had a few times where the ball was stuck or the lane didn't reset but the staff was very quick to fix it. We didn't eat or drink so I can't comment on that. Keep in mind it's Cash only but there is an ATM. Finally, they have a weekend all night bowling from like 9-12 and we really wanna try that. My bf and I bowled 3 games for about 25 bucks which wasn't bad at all. We will return here ! read more

Do NOT come here if you are under the age of 80 and not deeply jaded. I came here with my friend and we were immediately made to feel unwelcome (as two young women.) The bartender was too busy bowling to serve anyone, and the owner walked around critiquing our bowling etiquette like we were competing at the bowling World Cup. I have never met someone so condescending. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

We had a fun family bowl here last weekend. I like their automatic scoring machine and the fact that they have a lounge and can bring beers back to your lane. Drinks were cheap- $8.85 for two Yuenglings and a Jack & Coke! The lanes were straight and maintained. They have a giant parking lot, so finding a spot won't be a problem. I liked the cosmic side with the black lights, that seems fun for the kids. What could be better- the restrooms need a serious cleaning and hardware update, the lounge could really have better ventilation, new bowling shoes and balls too, they are really beat. read more

I grew up coming to this place i even joined my brother's and mother's bowling league team when i was a teenager im hoping when i run this idea i has by my manager that we will get a Mc´bowling league for fun and stress relief as well as getting to know our co-workers a little better started I work at the McDonald's by this bowling alley I loved coming here when i was younger and regret that i havent been able to keep up and be back up to my league status from when i was a teen ^.^ read more

I would like to reserve some lanes for a church men's ministry night out. I have tried calling for almost two weeks- several times each day. No one ever answers the phone at this business. About a month ago, an older gentleman answered the phone but told me to call back on Tuesday after 12 p.m. and talk with the owner - he did say her name but can't remember it. Do I have to make a trip to the bowling alley do make this reservation - it's this coming Tuesday and lots of guys attending. Not good! read more

Snack bar is horrible. Ordered food that never came. Also, the blonde curly-haired woman with the dark glasses who works behind the counter is very rude and hangs up on people when they call with questions. On one occasion, another bowler was harassing a 13 year old girl from a few lanes over. The girl told management and was advised to "get over it" or leave. They don't really care about you unless you are in a league. I wish Fair Oaks was closer to home. read more
