The first thing you notice is, for a medium sized coffee and pastry restaurant, it had a super abundant number of servers and waiters. And they were all busy taking care or the customers. The menu items were wonderful. The parties were fresh and tasted great. The drinks prepared perfectly. Everything was presented nicely by smiling staff members. It's hard to pick just one or two items we enjoyed. There were four of us and we had a great time at reasonable prices. Give it a try if you're in GB3.

Staff were friendly. The restaurant emphasizes organic ingredients, healthy & comfort food. I ordered the Garden Omelette with roasted potatoes. The garden omelette included eggs, cherry tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, kale, spinach, fresh parsley, sauteed garlic and onions. Everything was so fresh and it was definitely quality. Loved their house made ketchup. It was so good. I also tried the halo halo and it was so good. Really good size too.

I ordered the ribeye that costs 4300 pesos that is 86 US Dolllars. That is more expensive than Ruth Chris, capital grille, Morton's, and any high class buffet in Manila (spiral, Vikings, etc). I am from the USA, and the quality of the steak that I was served is comparable to that of a roadside dinner, Denny's, or even ihop. The cut was not tender at all, the flavor was flat: they over seasoned the steak to compensate for the lack of quality in the meat. Shame on me for even spending close to $100 that should have been $10 at any reasonable restaurant. This place is absolute garbage, but the staff were all great. Beware of this place, they serve mediocre cuts of meat. None of it is USDA Prime or Choice meats, it is "US SUPER" "US Prime" like what even is that. Ordered the gambas, chorizo, salpicado, chicken parmigiana, and salad. Food was okay overall, but honestly not the reason you'd go back. The gambas and chorizo worked best with the concept, while the salpicado and chicken parmigiana were decent but not particularly memorable. Nothing bad, but nothing you'd specifically crave either. Giving it a 3/5 because while the ambience is strong, the food doesn't really elevate the experience enough to make it a 4. It feels more like a place where people gather for drinks, conversation, and atmosphere, and just happen to eat there, rather than somewhere you purposely go for the food itself. Service is decent

We went ahead and had the reuben sandwhich and beef tartae. The Reuben bread was perfectly buttered and grilled to perfection. The fillings for the sandwich was a hefty amount of pastrami layered with saurkraut. The sandwich also came with fries as well and were perfectly fried and salted. The beef tartae was also very good but different and wasnt used to eating raw beef but when asked for some bread and I dipped the bread with the meat and sauce is was extremely appetizing! Pablo was a great bar to attend in a Hotel and ill definitely come back again for some more drinks and food. The bartenders were extremely nice and provided top notch customer service. The restaurant itself has a great vibe!!! lively but not too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since I wasn't too familiar with Filipino dishes. It was nice that our room included a free breakfast buffet. I started off the breakfast buffet with a nice strong cup of coffee. I needed something to wake me up, after having a food coma from their dinner buffet the night before. I thoroughly enjoyed the Filipino breakfast dishes. My husband was happy that they had bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese. I happen to love tocino, and I immediately gravitated toward that choice. I tried the two different types of longanisa, but I enjoyed the tocino more. The danggit (small fried fish) was salty and crispy. The spicy vinegar helped in toning down the saltiness of the danggit. Although there were Japanese, Chinese, and Mediterranean breakfast dishes, I just couldn't resist the tocino. I thought that I was finished eating breakfast by ending it with fresh fruit, but someone that was sitting next to us had taho. I ended my breakfastwith taho (silken tofu with arrival and sago). I previously mentioned that I had their dinner buffet, but I spent most of my time enjoying the Peking duck, tempura, sashimi, and sushi. My husband on the other hand enjoyed a little bit of everything. He had a couple different types of soup. He tried everything at the carving station. He had a chef cooking shrimp and steak on the grill. He made a couple trips to the sashimi and sushi station. I was very surprised to see him with numerous desserts. That's usually me! I ended my dinner with an affogato (two scoops of Davao dark chocolate gelato with a shot of espresso). We're planning to celebrate my husband's birthday dinner here.

Escolta at The Peninsula Manila: Buffet Review by Tina…read more I recently tried Escolta, the buffet restaurant inside The Peninsula Manila. It's positioned as a Filipino buffet, but the selection felt more international with random touches. What's on the buffet: * Filipino dishes: mahi-mahi, grilled seafood, classic viands * Japanese corner: sushi, maki, katsudon * Grill station: you can ask them to grill seafood or meat * Carving station: they serve lamb and other roasts * Desserts: wide selection of native delicacies like maja blanca, plus sorbets and ice cream (even soba ice cream) * Bread and cheese are also available, but nothing stood out Price: * I couldn't confirm the exact buffet rate, but it's somewhere around ₱3,500-₱4,500 per head. You can check their current rates online or via the hotel concierge. Ambience and service: * Elegant hotel setting as expected * Staff are very attentive and polite * Quiet, well-maintained dining space, not too crowded when I went My verdict: * The variety felt a bit confused. It says Filipino buffet, but the highlight was the Japanese and grill stations * Food was decent, but not something I'd personally pay over ₱4,000 for * Would I go back? Only if I'm treated or attending a special occasion * For the price, there are better buffet experiences in Manila (Circles in Shang mkt , The Alley at Conrad, or even Nobu brunch)
