My family and I came upon Pepeton's Grill in Quezon City by accident. We went to QC because we wanted to try a certain restaurant that my wife learned about on the Internet. Unfortunately, it has been closed down. We were very hungry, so we just drove around the area and decided to stop in front of an establishment full of patrons.
Pepeton's Grill is your typical Filipino hang-out restaurant. The dining area is big, the yellow lights are bright, the music is loud, and the general atmosphere is festive and happy. We were lucky to have found seats for three without any hassle.
The centerpiece specialty of the house is called Kapalmuks. It's basically half of a pig's head deep fried to perfection. Naturally, we asked for one. When the wait staff placed their bestseller on the table, we couldn't help but devour the crispy, fatty grub in front of us. We didn't stop there. We also ordered gising gising, grilled tuna belly, and Pepeton's fried rice. They were all very tasty.
We really enjoyed the place and our meal, but the service was quite slow. If you're hungry like us, you might want to first grab a quick bite somewhere else before heading to this joint. Or better yet, don't schedule a trip at Pepeton's during peak hours. read more
