Kids as young as 4 years old can join provided they can swim the width of the Olympic size pool at tryouts . Basically Coach Bud, the driving force behind the Dolphins for the past 50+ years ,wants all kids to learn to swim, have fun while doing it and in turn this will build lifelong confidence. The chant is " I can do it"! If you are a die hard swim mom who thinks your kid is going to the Olympics because you are pushing them, please don't join this club. These kids are superstars in their own right. At the end of the season they swim a mile . Yes everyone, because at the end of the season even the most novice swimmer can!And they all get a trophy for it. There is a wonderful end of season banquet where all kids will be recognized. The Dolphins participate in regional and state swim meets. Some kids go one to get college swim scholarships.

Whatever stone they used for the coping WAS NOT what I was suppose to get. Pool is two years old and stone with just washing away. I ended up getting some very cheap form of limestone which is not suppose to be used for pools/water. I've had other pool companies come out to look and give me quotes, only to agree that I got ripped off. Upon talking with Backyard Lagoons about how we resolve this. He immediately back peddled and put the blame on me and said it's my problem. The other pool builders and masons I've had out, said there is no way pool coping is suppose to do that, especially after 1-2 years. I personally know 2 other customers who are having major issues with their BRAND NEW pools , that are having trouble getting fixed due to poor craftsmanship. I've asked the owner to come out and look for himself at the stone before pushing blame on me. He did not come out. He was not around when stone was delivered to make sure it was correct. Haven't heard from him since.

In the beginning they were much more accommodating and helpful but I think eventually took our business for granted. We are in a newly remodeled home but the pool is older. They never showed us how to properly use our Pentair system (that they installed) after several requests. Weekly cleaning was good but the owner left the tech to do his "dirty work" and tell us our repairs were delayed week after week, for months, more than once. The excuse was a broken truck. For months. When they returned our vac after we discontinued our service, they had had it for a month. We had requested repairs for two months prior to them picking it up. Our pool was without a vacuum in the height of pollen season and looks awful. The (admittedly older) vacuum was not repaired AND had a newly broken wheel. The new service we hired tested the water and said our chlorine was extremely high and the acid was almost to the point we'd have to drain the pool and refill. On top of this, I would very professionally contact owner and he would respond to my husband. We really tried with these guys, gave them 10 mos. They were overpriced and did not deliver on the most basic of requests. Hopefully they read this and do better for their customers in the future.

The manager over the…read morephone said it would be $200 and then came out to our house and said it would be an extra $50 because of the size of our pool...which wasn't any bigger than a normal backyard sized pool. We just moved in to our house so the pool needed some maintenance but it took them a while to get it up and running. We were quoted $250 a month for them to come weekly and only saw the guy come every other week for a maintenance cleaning. When we finally fired him it was because we didn't see him for three weeks straight and no communication at all of why. Don't even waste your time by looking into this place. Move on to the next company.
