His suggestion worked and did get line partially unplugged. Brian showed up the following morning and cleaned up the balance of the plug. Have used Brian before and was very happy with service, quality of work and his price. Would recommend him to anyone. Other local plumbing companies are not as quick to return calls even when an emergency is present.

We had so many things that needed to be accomplished to sell our home. We are a family of seven with a small farm, so every time someone turned around there was something that needed attention. Not only did Vallerie keep the house clean before showings, but this is also just a small list of the accomplished projects that they did during the 9 months the home was on the market: Deep cleaned the entire house - several times, as it was for sale during Vermont snowy winter. Kept the house clean before showings. During the summer and fall they kept our yard maintained. They helped to repaint several of the rooms. Re-did the sheet rock and finished a bonus room. CLEANED A LOT!!! Vallerie would find new area's that really needed some attention - repairs, painting and the never ending cleaning. I can't even think of all the repairs that got done as furniture was moved. Helped with packing belongings that didn't get moved with the first truck. Deep cleaned the yard. We had so many things that we just couldn't take. Several dump trips later.... Oh, did I mention CLEANING!!! Helped to find a small crew to load a 53 ft semi for my final move of our belongings. Then to make my move even easier and take away the driving stress, they DROVE with me from VT to GA bringing our family's 37 ft camper. The last week I was in VT trying to get things finished was extremely stressful and I know that with out the help of Chris and Vallerie I could not have gotten it all accomplished!!!! They have gone above and beyond helping our family. Vallerie and Chris helped not just in "getting things done" but their solid work ethic took so much stress off of me. Dave the plumber gave me a quote of$250 to do a minor repair on my water tank. I was not on site…read moreand he charged me $350. When I called him to question the charges ,he went on an expletive filled rant without answering my questions about the bill. Recently I called him again to find out why the bill was $100 dollars more-he refused to give me an answer. I will never hire this guy again. Giving him 1 star is being generous. If I had been on site, I should have got a notarized copy of the estimate.

(Note: he did, what looks to be a very nice job for her) I had a simple door fix (the door had become very hard to open/close) that needed the hinges tightened with a crescent wrench and a longer screw put in the plate instead of the shorter one that comes with the door to get the door back in alignment making sure the pin was in place with the hinges. I also had the screen door that needed the same type of alignment but it wasn't a problem with opening or closing. Jimmy came out and looked at the doors and said he could fix them and would fix them right then so I agreed.....It took him all of 10 min to get his electric drill and tighten the screws and then he took off the weather strip from under the door and told me to go to the store and get a replacement weather strip that I could put back on the door with screws instead of the type he removed. The door was easier to open/close but still not fixed. Jimmy told me with winter coming it was better to leave the door tight because the snow would not come in that way. He told me there wasn't anything he could do with the screen door...it needed to be replaced...we agreed at a later date he could come back and do that for me as it also needed a handle replacement and more cost effective to just replace the door....so he said I paid him $60 and he left. Later that evening, when trying to lock the door and go to the store...the locks did not work...the deadbolt no longer lined up with the plate to close and the door lock did not work. I went to LOWES and asked for help and three employees in the door department told me what should have been done and that I should have never paid anyone to do this kind of work to fix a door and Jimmy should have checked the locks before taking my $ and leaving. I had taken the weather strip he took off and was told to replace it back on the door (it was in good shape) and my locks should work. I did this and it works now. They told me try to contact Jimmy and IF he was a good person he should return to fix the door without charge....but they were doubtful as they suggested he may be a con-man. I called Jimmy and he answered, I told him what happened and that I needed him to return to fix the door. He agreed... but would NOT give me a day/time...saying he was possibly exposed to Covid...so we agreed he would call ahead to let me know when he would come back. He originally came out on Sept 20,2023. Many phone calls and excuses later, (he said he was called back to his winter job at Casella Waste Systems just waiting for the return date on that and would have to let me know when he could come at a later date..., he wasn't feeling well..., he was doing other jobs that had to be finished in Vermont first, and his son was exposed to Covid..) he finally told me that he would not come back unless I replaced the door and got one from him (and he had many he could sell me for a really good price that he needed to get rid of and was pushing me to buy one from him). I told him that I just wanted him to comeback and fix what should have been done in the first place and he became very rude and told me he did the work already and that he was not coming back to do anything for me and to go F%#* myself and hung up on me. He had told me (while working at my house) he had been ill, his wife was ill, his daughter was ill and his son was ill...........and I felt sorry for this guy and believed that giving him the work was helping him too. I don't know what or why he did this but it is no way to do business!! So I have to agree with LOWES.....yes he is a Con Man. It's up to you, but I WON'T ever be doing business with him again and letting everyone know how he operates as well as the BBB

I called Juan at Upstate Heating and Plumbing on Tuesday morning because my boiler was red tagged…read moreby the competition. The estimate given by Juan was significantly lower than any other companies, and he had 2 guys here by 8:30 am on Wednesday morning, by 8pm Thursday night the old boiler and all of the plumbing and wiring was gone, and a brand new, state of the art boiler was in place, AND we had heat in all 4 zones with unlimited hot water as well. The dedication of these men, and the quality of their work was amazing, as well as the professionalism shown to my family. I simply cannot say enough good things about this company.
