Great place off of Main Street to get some fresh brats or steaks for summer grilling at the lake. There are a lot of unique varieties of brats, 53 and counting to be exact. You literally walk into a walk in freezer to find what you want. This is brat heaven. My favorites are the Wild Blueberry Wild Rice or Wild Rice Pineapple ones. There are so many unique flavors (Gummy Bear or Reeses Pieces anyone?) you are bound to find something that will strike your fancy. Their meat snack sticks are also very good. If you are in the area in the fall for deer hunting, they will process your game into tasty meat sticks or steaks. We had our venison processed here last year and loved it! I've been to many butcher shops with my venison throughout Minnesota. Looking for a road trip destination? This meat locker in the middle of the north woods is IT. They have over 50 types of brats, and any other meat you can imagine. Great home made beef jerky, blood sausage, and free samples from the gracious staff. A must see taste of Minnesota history well worth a date or family drive. read more

Me and my dad were heading up to Baxter and he has been here before told me the meat was amazing so we had to make a quick stop. When we stopped they had an awesome selection and the people were nice. We picked up the Parmesan garlic brats and the teriyaki beef sticks the beef sticks. They were amazing I would say the best I have had definitely would recommend. read more
