Megan was responsive to emails and phone calls, and answered the plethora of questions we continually threw at her, all with a calmness and grace that was in line with what Aberdeen promotes. We never felt rushed to make decisions or be pressured into making an uncomfortable choice in terms of decorations or food. The hall was decorated beautifully for our reception, and the ceremony - transitioned to the chapel in lieu of the garden area due to the rain - went smoothly. The bistro filet, cranberry chicken, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and mac & cheese bites were delicious. They were even able to accommodate my request to have a gluten/dairy free cupcake (which I provided) brought to the table for my Matron of Honor! She was so surprised and I was extremely pleased that they were able to bring it out with the cake like no big deal! That and other smallest details were taken care of by the team, and we were able to ENJOY OUR DAY.. which is really what it's all about! Thank you Aberdeen :)

Tiffany and Karen are the dream team…read more They work in a great partnership where one person reviews the details and the other can see the picture. Tiffany and Karen took over my event six weeks before the wedding. In that time, they reviewed plans with me, encouraged me and communicated in great detail with myself and vendors. They were able to execute my vision in such an elegant way. This wedding review cannot possibly contain enough words to completely express our appreciation. When it came time to select a wedding planner, we are so thankful that we recieved Events by Tiffany R as a referral. Tiffany and Karen planned our wedding as if they were envisioning an event for a family member or a friend. We are still in awe when we look back on everything they did for us, before and during the wedding. Without their help our special day would not have been picturesque event we dreamed of. I was very specific in my desires for my wedding and our planners tried as hard as possible to make that vision come to light. The decorations were superb. They were flexible with our families and our timelines. Their planning, preparation, and attention to detail was amazing. We appreciate them more than words can say. And a huge thanks for their thoughtful wedding gift of a surprise flower arrangement that was waiting for us. We thank them for being our wedding planner and coordinator. Would recommend Events by Tiffany R!

Ended up with a really unique vase with a wide variety of fresh hand-picked flowers- the selection there was great despite it being 3p on a Saturday! The flowers themselves were fantastic quality- my former boss specifically commented on how long they lasted. The price was really reasonable considering how elaborate the gift was. The store also sells other cool home goods like candles and essential oils, all curated from local businesses. The staff there were friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great ability to balance my preferences with their expertise, without making me feel either overruled or unsure of my choices. They gift wrapped my arrangement beautifully and with great care. What a fantastic addition to Halsted and the Bridgeport community. I'll be stopping by for all my floral needs from now on!

DJ Persist was flat out amazing…read more We found out about him at my wife's Barrister's Ball when she was still attending Depaul Law a few years ago. He had the entire room dancing all night so we just we went up to him and got his card. It was still in my wallet 2 years later, so we called him and set everything up. We decided to get married at a restaurant called Carnivale and rocked it! His name is Jesse. He's very organized, VERY professional and VERY helpful. We told him what we wanted and he delivered with ease. He will offer tons of suggestions to make your wedding as special as possible and he didn't disappoint. In a sense, he kind of works as a day of coordinator to keep things on schedule. We LOVED him. His cost was $1000 which was pretty good for his service. He doesn't charge for working over a few extra hours and his basic package includes his state of the art sound system, 2 wireless microphones (which one did temporarily stop working during me reading my vows but he made up for that with his service), access to this really cool website that allows you to create a timeline for your event, add music that you want to play or don't want to play, and set music to play at certain points during the wedding. We were so confident in Jesse that we paid him in full up front but he only requires I believe at least 25% deposit and the rest before or at your event. We got nothing but positive feedback from our guests about him. One of our friends was shocked that he wore a tux because DJs typically don't do that. The music was the best hits of the 90s, early 2000s and whatever else we wanted to hear. There was even a woman there with a leg brace on that refused to sit down because the music and mixes were just so good! We'd definitely hire DJ Persist again and we are so glad we picked him. If you are contemplating, do it. You will not be disappointed!
