Read the rest if you are interested. I have been coming here the last few months for their "buy nothing" events. I think its such an awesome way to help the environment, connect with community and give your gently used items a good home. When I have been coming here though, I am getting really put off by the "Staff". One incident happened where they were still setting up some things for the event and I heard a guy (i assumed worked there, based on apparel and the set up he was doing, i could be wrong though) say "come buy some beer, everyone is just here for free stuff cheap asses". I don't think that is very welcoming for individuals who attend this event. Most recently when we went to the Buy nothing event in August, my friend and I went up to the bar to ask if we could try a sample of 2 of the ciders they had. The gentleman was older, maybe 50's wearing a hat gave us the samples. We tried them as he went over to pour my friend her drink that she was PURCHASING. I asked if I could get another sample of another drink, genuinely curious of the flavor profile and trying a sample before I made my decision. This individual gave me such a hard time replying "thats going to be it for that, we aren't going to keep doing this" something along the lines of being upset that I asked for a second sample. I then told him as he went over to the station to just forget it and I wasn't going to be given a hard time. Since it was such a big deal to try another sample. Usually when I go to a tap room the employees talk about their products, the notes, and give me more info and offer a couple of different samples. Here I felt bad just for asking to try a second cider which was their new one for me. Then he came out from the side and try to give me the sample, I let him know that it was fine, and I stated I no longer wanted one. His response was " oh so you just want me to throw it out". I let him know I didn't want it before he poured it almost feel guilty for "throwing it out". I stated that he was giving me a hard time, instead of just clarifying what he meant, a simply "sorry about that" he just turned around and went off with his day. When we come here we buy multiple drinks at this event. But the employees that I have personally seen have made it a not so great experience.

Came on a Thursday night, and it also happened to be Trivia Night (starts at 6:30pm). Got together with a couple ladies to play mahjong and got asked all night about it :) Apparently this place used to be an auto shop before they turned it into a brewery. They have indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for a gathering with friends. Moscow mule was cold and refreshing, and the fish and chips that someone else ordered smelled amazing. If you're already in Land Park / Hollywood Park, this is a solid casual stop. Would come back for another pint of the red and whatever's rotating.

They had five different West Coast IPAs on tap, so naturally I had to order a sampler flight. Every pour was crisp, flavorful, and exactly what an IPA lover hopes for. The space itself has a very open and welcoming atmosphere. On the other side of the venue, there was even a wine tasting area for the wine enthusiasts in the group, which made it feel like there was something for everyone. There's plenty of room for kids to run around, a food truck outside for anyone looking for a bite, and an overall laid back environment that makes it easy to spend a few hours there. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and genuinely a fantastic spot for the whole family.

Hazy IPA : 5 Service: 4…read more Ambiance: 5 We were in town for a soccer tournament and looked to Yelp to find a spot for a midday beer (or two). Suffice it to say, if I lived in Sac I'd be a regular. The space is as a warehouse feeling, beer bar on one side and wine bar on the other. In between their is ample seating, including in high tops and regular tables. There are several picnic tables outside as well. There is also a collection of games that you can borrow and a dartboard. The decor was on point with the vibe of the place. Overall, a great place to come and chill by yourself or to party with friends. It was a pretty slow day, the service was courteous and efficient. I'm a bit biased due to my years in the industry, and then a place like this I would expect bartenders to introduce themselves and have a little banter to try to build up a regulars crowd. I got a hazy, I forgot the name. It had the hoppiness and citrus flavor that was looking for. The rest of my group bloggers and a kolsch. I texted a friend who lives in Sac about this place and it turns out they are regulars there and go to many of their events.

Most of them worked for the former owner of that space which was, Device Brewing. All of them seem to have quite a history in brewing in general. The prices seem less that most of the breweries in Sac. The canned prices are better than any of the others in the area. They have food trucks and events on weekends. I believe…read morethat Nitty's is easily becoming an iconic location (if it isn't already!) that exemplifies what I love about Sacramento. It is family-friendly, in a great area, affordably priced, makes a great product, and is still weird. First, Nitty's is known for their cider, which can be found at other great businesses that sell alcohol. BUT you should absolutely come to their retail location because they have a plethora of unique and weird flavors constantly rotating. I remember one time they had an ube cider, which I appreciate as a Filipino AND it was delicious! In addition to their cider, they also brew some pretty solid beers. While I don't find their beers to be the best to be had for a local brewer, they are still delicious and hit the spot when you want a change of pace from ciders. I mentioned family-friendly at the beginning of this review, and while that may be a turn off for some people I would highly recommend you check out Nitty's regardless. The back half of the cidery has a small arcade, but the real deal is upfront. Everyone I have taken to Nitty's becomes absolutely giddy when I let them know that Nitty's has skeeball (4 units) and they also have a competitive skeeball team! I believe Wednesdays and Thursdays are skee free so you can enjoy a pint and play skeeball with your friends or fly solo as I often do! Nitty's is also has a great outdoor patio area with misters during the warmer months and beautiful art murals all around the bar. Everyone I have met and talked to at Nitty's, patron and employee, have been super cool and welcoming. Definitely come check out Nitty's if you've been looking for a bar to call home.

For a Saturday, the place wasn't packed at all, which made for a nice, chill experience. The bartender was great! She took the time to explain the different ciders to us and gave us some really good recommendations. We decided to take our flights outside since the weather was nice and warm, and it was the perfect setting to sit back, relax, and try something new. Some of the ciders were definitely hit or miss for me, but that's part of the fun of getting a flight, you get to try different flavors and figure out what you actually like. Overall, I had a fun time tasting all the different ciders. The only setback was that I wish they served food because having something to eat with the cider would've made the experience even better. Funny enough, right as we were leaving, a food truck showed up, so apparently we were just a little too early . I also noticed someone outside eating their own food, so next time we might bring a sandwich or something to enjoy with our drinks. Overall, we had a really good time. Good cider, great service, nice weather, and another fun experience with my girl. I would definitely come back and try another flight!
