Let me give you a disclaimer, I don't eat a lot of meat. I have been here twice. I was dragged here…read moreby a friend of mine who recently moved to this sleepy little hamlet to work at a nearby university. From what I tasted, the meat is very good. I don't know that it is in the category of Lobels in New York or Peoria Packing of Chicago, but from what I had, it was very good. I also just learned that the Senator Restaurant in Toronto uses Cumbrae's beef. I haven't been back to the Senator since 1991, but it was at that time, a very good restaurant. My review is not for the meat, it is for the staff. I don't frequent butcher shops, but my past experiences have been very different from this shop. There are no old, grumpy, loud men in bloodied white coats here. Instead, they seem to have found a stable of really hot, cute young girls that love to handle raw meat. I don't get it, but each one is cuter and prettier than the next. Brunettes, blondes, red heads, its like the Sunday Funday girls of the Playboy Mansion are working here. I could cast a Bravo reality show here."The cute coeds of Cumbraes." You could do a calendar that would make the Tempe 12 look ordinary. The guys in the back are also young, like a college hockey team. I am not sure if this hiring is on purpose, or the norm for small Canadian butcher shops, but it works. I think even hardcore vegans would have a hard time avoiding this place.

The store looks small from the outside but a huge paradise of lovely delights await you to experience! Muhammad was so friendly, greeted us and was generous to let us try many of the freshest ground tahini's and flavored halwa's. All natural, vegan, non GMO and no preservatives or additives. With every taste, I couldn't pass anything up! I love the flavors of everything I purchased. These products are all excellent top quality made and packaged. The flavors are all creamy, smooth and burst with amazing taste! I bought some to give as gifts as you won't find many of these flavors anywhere in the world!! This is one of those shops you never forget and will return to every visit to stock up! Thank you Muhammad for your generosity and sharing with me your unique halwa's! Especially ALL your other naturally flavored tahini's!

Came across this place while picking up some dessert at this busy plaza in Eglington and Ridgeway…read more They offer various nuts both raw and roasted. They also have different confectionery offerings. The lady who was helping us said that they sell platters of these confectionery for parties and events. If you are a nut butter fan this place is an absolute treat and a must place to visit. They make it fresh on site! I am a coffee junkie and I saw that they also roast their coffee beans on site. I bought a pound of their arabica beans. As much as I love a light roast coffee, this was not my fave unfortunately 6/10 in my books. But, other than the coffee, this place is definitely a good store to visit if you love nuts and nut butter.
