Excellent little spot right downtown. We were taking the back way from Wakulla to Orlando and stopped here for lunch. The Rueben and Roast Beef sandwiches were awesome, as was the dill pickle soup and the coffees we snagged for the rest of the drive. Service was top-notch as well.

Great place to stop for an awesome breakfast sandwich or lunch.. I've had both. Great location in downtown Perry. Great choice of hot and cold coffees, muffins, scones. Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Very nicely decorated that's made my wife very pleased. Very clean and orderly. Food was exceptional. A Nice place to go for a Saturday morning drive from Tallahassee to enjoy the country and some great food.

Love this place. Great coffee with wide selection. Craft sandwiches. Friendly staff. Attentive service. Cozy and super comfy bench seating. Even the bathrooms are appealing.

So far the coffee is delicious!

On our way to Tallahassee from Gainesville and didn't want to eat from a fast food place. Decided to look for a local spot on our way and found Backdoor Bistro and Coffeehouse. Excellent choice! I ate the pimento raspberry jalapeño grilled sandwich, ah-mazing! Bonus...pimento cheese was homemade! Also tried their coffee...yum! Thank you for the delicious lunch. Also a shout out to the lovely people who work inside! They ALL were so friendly and hospitable, it felt like home.

Food is great Historical downtown Perry has pictures of it when it was a drugstore now of the old past. I'll be had nice ambience with Historical photographs as a drugstore from 1901 until 1998, then into a pizza place. It is a wonderful, great place to visit to eat highly recommend.

Whatever you do, don't ever ask for anything "out of the ordinary" or outside their narrow view of…read morewhat a pizza can be. I simply asked if you could use Alfredo sauce instead of ricotta on a pizza you already make. After a bunch of back-and-forth, she finally said she'd "see if it was possible," while telling me it wasn't "authentic Italian pizza." I've been eating and making Alfredo pizzas for over 45 years, all over this country. I even made them for thousands of customers at three different locations down south. This isn't some weird request. You already have the Alfredo on your menu -- I just asked for it on a pizza instead of ricotta. Meanwhile, in Italy -- especially Northern Italy -- they have white pizzas with cream and cheese all the time. They just don't call it Alfredo. They call it things like: - Pizza Bianca - Pizza alla Panna - Pizza con Besciamella - Pizza al Burro e Parmigiano That's literally butter, cream, and parmesan on pizza -- which is Alfredo in everything but the American name. The original Alfredo even comes from Rome, from Ristorante Alfredo alla Scrofa, and nearby Roman pizzerias make Pizza Bianca al Burro e Parmigiano, which is the same thing. So if a customer wants to give you $50 for two large pizzas and asks you to swap ricotta for Alfredo -- something you already sell -- that should be an easy "sure," not a bunch of sighing and "I don't know, that's not authentic" like I'm asking for ketchup on a steak. I even said I'd pay extra so I wouldn't have to stop at the store to buy cream, butter, and Parmigiano just to make a white pizza at home. And honestly, with all the hate, tension, and things getting worse in this country, it's exhausting that I can't even call a local pizza place and feed my family without it turning into drama. People are already dealing with enough -- food should be one of the few simple comforts left. We're in Perry, Florida, not a Michelin-star restaurant in Rome. I'm not pretending to be a master chef -- but neither is the person making the pizzas. As a business, I would think you'd want to make sales instead of running customers off over something this simple. Customer service used to mean trying to make people happy. Whatever this was... wasn't it.

We also had a small grilled redfish and fried oyster dinners with sides. Both were tasty but the oysters were the star of our lunch. The swamp cabbage was different than I've had before and it was good. We wanted Mullet Backs but they didn't have any mullet dishes available. Guess we'll just have to try it again on our next visit to the area.

Cindy our server greeted us immediately after being seated, we were seated in the back of the restaurant which allowed me to look at what the locals were eating, yeah almost every table had oysters either raw on the shell or chargrilled which were all sized large. There are lots of options here no matter your preference We both got crispy fried catfish and I added fried shrimp I opted for a side I've never seen on any menu anywhere "Swamp Cabbage" (sautéed heart of palm with bacon) I covered it with a healthy dose of Trappy's Pepper Vinegar, it's definitely an acquired taste I'm sure but delicious, we also ordered fries which came with a generous portion of thumb size hushpuppies served with guava jam. We also ordered an order of Lacy's Rockin Oysters for an appetizer, they arrived about half way through our dinner service but well worth the wait for sure, a few dozens of these would make a wonder meal by itself - everything was delicious and the prices are a very good value - a shout out again to our server Cindy she was exceptional. If you're in the area and want some fresh seafood and the freshest oysters this is definitely the place to come. The area is still recovering from the last hurricane which devastated the area but it seems all is well here...
