We visited there yesterday. I was surprised by the small number of reviews but they were mostly good. When we walked in we were greeted and offered a table. I personally think a whole wall of coffee options is a bit much, but to each his own. The menu had some variety. I ordered the grilled cheese which was fair. Actually my daughter said the ones I make at home have more flavor! My daughter enjoyed the quesadillas. Sad they use styrofoam cups and plastic straws and even the sour cream comes in a pa ket that you cannot recycle either. . So much for recycling and saving the environment. We were passing through Perry and found this lovely little restaurant. The service was very good and pleasant. We ordered the Jalapeño Popper sandwich and the BBLT (double bacon). The Popper sandwich had pimento cheese, sliced jalapeños and bacon. Both sandwiches we very good and served right off the griddle. We were to choose a side. I asked our server which one didn't have sugar. The potato salad was the only one and it was delicious. The bathroom was very clean. The reason for four stars is the BBLT needed more mayo and had one 3" diameter tomato slice. We will stop again and have two Popper sandwiches. read more

First impressions are important, the hostess asked us something to the nature of "what are you doing here?" as soon as we walked in the door. It set the tone. Normally I'd find a different place to eat but I was driving through on a Monday morning. The soup of the day was Crab and Corn bisque. It was delicious and the flavors were perfect. The house coffee was mediocre. I tried the broccoli salad on review recommendation and found it overly sweet. The wait staff weren't friendly, hurrying away from the table as soon as possible. If you want to know if I LOVE this little spot...my husband and I got married there and I eat lunch several times a month here. They offer catering and I utilize them often for my office events. The service is kind, sweet and consistent. The food is delish and easy. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, quiches, soups....great easy eats. The Southern Gobbler, Cobb salad and that amazing cucumber salad are my go to items...oh and the ruben I like ans that comes from a native upstate NYer!! A decent ruben is hard to come by in the south!!! LOL.... However I have MANY favorites! They also have lovely coffees and sweet eats. My favorite coffee is the Cloud 9. If you are in Perry there are very few good eats but Backdoor is a staple for consistent, non-dissapointing food options.
