My visiting friends who were newcomers and I came in recently and felt like we were imposing on her. I personally was in several times over the past few weeks and spent over $200 on gifts but having someone treat us as though we were bothering her is unlikely to create repeat business with newcomers. I was excited to show off the treats made with spice mixes, olives, cherries, as well as the olive oils and balsamics. Alas, no treats other than the bread and oil which was disappointing. And it was the weekend so really no excuse. Everyone still spent plenty. Negatives aside, the oils and vinegars are sublime. I'm sure I'll be back but will peek in to see who's working first.

Each week there is a different variety... some choices I've never even heard of like hogs head fish, triple tail fish, sheepshead fish, black grouper, gag grouper (caught by spear!) and others. They are quite pricey though $32-40/lb. You can order ahead with your name, phone number, and time/ date of pickup and they will set it aside for you. We're from Charlotte and packed our large cooler with ice ($3 for 7lb bag / $6 for 16lb bag) to take fresh fish back with us ! The lady at the counter said she was a chef and gave good descriptions of the flavors of each fish and some great ideas of what to pair each with when placing the order. Apparently one type of fish was not available when delivered, so they called me to advise of that fact and ask if I was interested in hog fish that came in instead. When I went to pick it up, the guy got the rest of my order ready. This place has a whole section of different colors of Piggly Wiggly t-shirts in different colors. They have an entire section of local made goods too. Jams, pickled items, dressings, preserves, hot sauces, bbq sauces, cocktail sauces, honey, etc. I also got one of their cute Piggly Wiggly bags that had a cute pig butt on the back side that said "wiggle wiiggle". Haha. They have a whole section of Hilton Head souvenirs to choose from. I got a glittery wristband for my keys and a corkscrew for my husband. Now this location is pretty convenient, located in Colgny Square, especially if you're renting. a house/condo in the area, it's walkable and easy to get to. This location also has a larger parking lot, so if you're just running to grab a few things, you shouldn't have a problem finding parking. When you arrive outside, you'll see a large pig cutout, don't be embarrassed take a pic with the pig, we took many lol. When you go inside, you may feel like you walk into the grocery store, you feel like you walked into a bit of a time warp. I promise you that only leads to the charm of the Piggly Wiggly. Before you can go to the produce section, you have to pass through the merch. This is where Piggly Wiggly shines. They have shirts of every size and color. They have shirts/onesies for infants, hats, beach bags, koozies, sweatshirts, and they now even have a line of holiday inspired shirts. I will say prior to going to the Piggly Wiggly we had gone grocery shopping at a bigger box store, and I'm a bit annoyed that we did. The prices at Piggly Wiggly were cheaper, way cheaper.
