I have been having constant reoccurring pain in my lower back. About 2 weeks ago a representative…read morefrom Chiro One was at my gym LA Fitness in Morton Grove. I started taking to one of the girls recruiting for new patients at Chiro One. From the get go I realized that they have a fairly aggressive approach to getting people into one of their facilities, in this case the Glenview clinic, which I later found is 1 of 41 clinics under the Chiro One name. She scheduled an appointment on the spot for an exam & follow up for the diagnostic after the exam for $20 which I thought was reasonable. The exam had me fill out a questionnaire. After that I met with Ryan the office manager and he asked more questions. After that I met Dr Irene Bernstyne after more questions she ordered x-rays for my lower back and neck, areas where I was experiencing pain. The X-rays showed my spine curved slightly to the left and my neck in the cervical area curved forward (No real surprise because even now typing I am looking down at my phone) As you may know your nervous system runs from your brain down your spine. The spine has 3 main sections, the made up of the Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar vertebrae. This in turn is divided into 33 interlocking segments that form your spine. The nervous system runs from your brain down your spine, the main branch of your nervous system branches off into thousands of different nerves that directly impact and effect your organs & body functions. I enrolled for 36 sessions of back manipulations that include a series of exercises both at the facility prior to the back manipulations & at home. The first day Ryan walked me through the exercise program designed for my particular back and neck issues. After the exercise Dr Jenna does the back manipulations all the while with x-rays on a computer monitor showing her where the adjustment need to made. I don't pretend to be an expert at chiropractic care, but it seems like a fairly comprehensive plan of treatment and I have already experienced a reduction of pain in my lower back, but it is a constant process that takes time.

I have never felt so negatively or had a worse experience with a product or service in my 37 years…read moreof existence. I booked an appointment with ChiroOne after injuring my back (slipped disc) and because my previous Chiropractor was not available that day. I came to them in agonizing pain, barely able to move. Not only did they spend 30-45 minutes having me fill out paperwork and asking general intake questions like how much coffee I drink and whether I was born vaginally or via c-section (to name a few), they ended up sending me home with no treatment, no advice, no exercises/stretches, only to come back to examine the x-rays that were taken that day. They just so happened to have an appointment the next day. I came back the next day expecting some treatment for the pain; nope! Again, sitting and talking to the doctor while clearly in pain and being sold a 'treatment' plan, discussing my insurance coverage, my "long term goals", and other BS. Finally after insisting that I no longer wished to talk and do paperwork, the doctor gave me an "adjustment", she made sure to let the staff know exactly how much to charge me, and sent me on my way. No advice and no follow-up of any kind. Real diagnosis and treatment was done elsewhere. If you are in any type of pain, avoid this place by any means necessary. Lord knows what those initial two days cost me long-term.
