I've had active jobs and hobbies most of my years and never had back issues- until recently…read more Refinishing a teak bench almost finished me! The pain was so intense, immobilizing, plus normal OTC pain killers did very little, and there was no position that offered relief. In the past after "over doing" it a little rest I was good to go. After four days of taking it easy it was worse. On recommendation of someone with more chronic back pain I called Center for Musculoskeletal Care and was able to get a appointment to be evaluated by Dr Pys. The evaluation was thorough and used non-invasive technology to get a precise map of issues with my back/spine. The technology also clearly tracks the efficacy of the treatment(s). The practice is a wife / husband team who are as friendly as they are professional. They immediately began a treatment plan (with some homework) to target my issues. I felt some relief on the first visit but with each successive visit (and being "somewhat" diligent with my homework ) I was back to normal very quick. I plan to schedule more sporadic appointments for preventative maintenance as this makes sense to me to track condition and tune-up as needed. Hopefully this keeps my back pain behind me as it were! They requested that I come in 2x a week for my treatment plan which was not feasible for my schedule. Each time I went in for a visit (we eventually agreed on 1x a week) I would be berated about how I was not coming in for appointments often enough and that they could lose their good standing with insurance. This occurred every single time I visited and it got to the point where I asked if this was how they treated all of their patients because I do not believe they could be in business if so. I am 30 years old and on my most recent (and last visit) I was essentially yelled at and told that I am no longer welcome unless I schedule twice a week. I was told to not take it "personally" and opted to walk out of the office as I was being yelled at because there's zero reason I should be subjected to this type of behavior as their client. They are unprofessional, rude, and not flexible.

The running nose is accompanied by sneezing, sometime so violent that it feels like all the bones in my neck are shaken loose. Over the years, I have tried different allergy medicines, both prescribed as well as off the counter. These medicines, however well recommended, worked only at the beginning for me, my body seemed to adjust quickly to these medicines, and they no longer have any effect on my condition. Dr. Lee is so kind, personal, using his vast experience and knowledge to arrive at an accurate diagnosis through listening patiently, asking questions, he is able to come up with a strategy to treat the condition. Dr Lee, through cupping therapy over time, recommendation for diet change and lifestyle tweaking, has brought about a vast change in my physical condition. The last three months, my mornings and evenings have been transformed. My running nose and sneezing have stopped, something I didn't think was possible. It is such a great comfort to be free from the effects of year-round allergy. I see Dr. Lee on a regular schedule to keep up the maintenance. After each session I always feel release, the body is no longer tight, ready for whatever is ahead. Highly recommend Dr. Lee

Although I was skeptical, I made an appointment with Dr. Amy Zhang, a certified acupuncturist in Highland Park IL. I am not new to acupuncture by any stretch, but in the intake interview Amy asked me some very personal questions that did not relate to anything about my treatment needs, but I tried to go with the flow. She recommended some books and we had a very good conversation, but then the needles started to go in. Amy puts the needles in VERY deep, which I have learned through the years is simply not necessary 90% of the time. At one point, she put a needle in my upper left shin (lateral aspect). It was immediately on fire but I tried to breathe through it. Next up, the needles went in my ears. She put one into my left ear and I started shouting, "Ow! Ow!" She almost seemed to enjoy this because she just twisted the needle in as I shouted. By the end of the session, the lower half of my left leg was completely numb, my ear was throbbing, and I was trying to focus on staying calm. I did reschedule another appt at first, but cancelled it a few days later because my lower left leg and ear were STILL bothering me and because I just didn't want to endure another session. She has a lot of knowledge but uses a very old, American-style of acupuncture that I realize is the cause of so many people being turned off by this ancient practice. I ended up getting two appointments at another clinic and had a much, much better experience.
