They failed to clean our filters and place new ones as contracted. They broke the handle on our filter tank. It took several calls to get them out there, admit their fault and get it taken care of. I quit using them since early 2025. I just found fraudulent charges on my credit card every month of this year (2026) and several months of 2025 after I used them. I called in the middle of this week regarding the many fraudulent charges and asked to hear back from them asap regarding these charges. It is Friday evening and they have not called me back. There are over $2000 of unexplained charges from them on maintenance fees. Something is very wrong with this company. I quit using them because of the poor maintenance, high maintenance and incompetence of the people who answer the office phone.

It would require a book to provide all the details so I'll just try to sum it all up. It took over…read morea year to complete the pool build. Then it took another three months to find a leak their own installers created when they had to drill out a plug. The equipment pad and landing outside the cage were pitched toward the house and pool resulting in water flowing to the foundation and the cage door not opening properly. We had to fix the door issue and hire a separate company to fix the equipment pad pitch. It took 3 months for them to reimburse us. Finally, one year after bringing these issues to their attention we had them fixed and we were reimbursed for our expenses. Several months ago we had the controller go out, which was under warrantee. Penguin was going to charge us to come out and fix it. Needless to say we found another company to cover the warrantee work and it didn't cost us a cent.

We had a pretty significant leak earlier this summer and never got a call telling us about it until I got my homewatch service report. They saw the leak and shut the pump off, swimquest knew of the leak for 5 days, including a weekend, and never reported it to us. This week we had another leak at the auto fill valve and again, no call from swimquest. Once again my home watch saw it and reported it to me. The weekly report from swimquest said nothing about it. What really set me off was I emailed them today at noon asking what was going on and 5 hours later had to call them and ask. I was told they were busy doing invoices and were too busy to call me. Apparently billing is more important than notifying clients when something is wrong. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS, something changed this summer in their company and not for the better. There are lots of other companies out there to worry if your pool is OK when you are away.
