This place is heaven for your inner geek. Old school board games, a pac man machine and a war-hammer painting station line the walls and floor of this place. We ordered a London fog from the counter. I was excited to see a beautiful selection of teas, there was definitely an emphasis on oriental teas and not as much variety as say, a David's tea but still very nice and a lot of nice lattes and mixed tea drinks on their menu. The London fog was actually fantastic and different from any I've ever had and the girl serving us was bubbly and nice. The strangest and most interesting part of this place has to be the single barbers chair and barber cutting hair at the back of the store. This guy has his own little studio at the back of this coffee shop and it seems to be popular. One of the servers had to turn away a client and said that he was booked up for the day. All-in-all this is an eclectic place that I feel prides itself for it's uniqueness. It's warm and welcoming and if you make an appointment, you can also get your hair cut!

There are three older very experienced barbers there who are a blast to talk with and are very skilled and flexible with their styling. My son loved his haircut and mine was excellent as well. Staff will quote one price and you could be charged something completely different and arbitrary! There is zero flexibility with respect to compromise and/or customer satisfaction. I was quoted $180 for the work I inquired about and was subsequently charged $360 plus tax. They refuse to problem-solve over the phone (i.e., Sarah Taylor) and prefer to play on the defensive, rather than acknowledge miscommunication. Highly disappointing. Sarah suggested that she prefers emailing so they can better track the complaint process - a perfect avoidance tactic and signs of questionable leadership. All in all, this shop is seemingly more interested in the bottom line, rather than offering accurate and clear information (either over the phone, on their website or via email). I am happy to share my email communications with anyone contemplating using this shop for their next tattoo. RUN AWAY AND RUN FAST! #SteelNInk
