I called her yesterday for a last minute wash and…read moreblow-out and, while she is typically too busy for last minute calls like this, she managed to fit me in within 45 min of my call. Let me also say that I had never met her before. I was in town for one day and the stars aligned for us to meet. I needed my hair blown out and she just happened to have an opening when I needed it. When I arrived, Annie was incredibly gracious and friendly and took me back immediately. Even though I arrived 10 minutes early! The treatment itself was heavenly and it was clear that she really knows her stuff. She explained to me in great detail how to treat my type of hair (Wavy 2A) and what products I would benefit the most from using. All in all, I couldn't have been more impressed with my experience at Hairscape. Annie's experience, professionalism, and business skills are far beyond what I was expecting and I can't recommend her enough if you're looking for that person who treats you more than just another client. Sometimes you meet someone that feels so familiar even though you've never met before and this was one of those times for me. I anticipate being back in town fairly regularly and I will always make time to come in for a service. If I could give Annie and her staff more than 5 stars, I would. Even though her staff were busy working with other clients, they all took the time to say hello and one staff member even explained some products to me when I was checking out. It's obvious that Hairscape is a positive place to work by the attitudes and cheerfulness of those who work there. Thanks, again, Annie! I can't wait to be back!

I was accused of being "a high stress person" because I ask too many questions about the highlights- lowlight procedure. But come on, if you are going to charge these prices at least have a stylist that knows how to cut hair! I had to ask her to stop drying her natural curly hair because she had no idea what she was doing and it was getting fluffy and straight. I also went back after I couldn't handle that I paid all that money for CRAP. I asked if someone could actually layer her hair, and they sent me back to the same stylist who still couldn't do it! I don't know how they stay in business, I guess its the idiots like me who take the chance on getting a back to school haircut for a 6 year old girl and get charged a ridiculous amount for something I could of done at home! And did end up fixing it and re-styling it at home! If you can stay away from this place and let them go out of business, because they are ripping people off!

So I thought we'd come back and I'd get my hair done and all 3 of my kids. I showed the hair dresser what I wanted, and it looks nothing like it. I figured that I'm likely going to lose all my hair next month to breast cancer treatment, I might as well treat myself while I can. Basically I look like Dora the explorer with slightly longer hair. I wanted nice curtain bangs with a shag style and got nothing close. Same with my 2/3 of my kids didn't get what they wanted either. That was almost a $400 trip.

I made my appointment for a Saturday and slept in past my alarm... great first impression. I was late and so nervous to meet with my new stylist, Michelle. She looked past my tardiness and listened to my every concern. I'm thinking I may have found "the one" for my hair. After we spoke about what I wanted, the first question she asked is "what's your budget?". I was taken aback by the question because it was so thoughtful and real of her to ask. I knew what I could afford and she was willing to work within my budget. She was easy to get along with; the conversation didn't feel forced or routine. It was natural. The salon itself is beautiful. It's clean with high industrial type ceilings. The walls aren't cluttered and the shelving tastefully displays their products in a non-in-your-face kind of way. The end result made my eyes tear up! I haven't felt proud of my hair in a really long time. It would usually take 3-4 weeks after a salon trip that I'd finally start to like my hair again. The colour would be washing out, the cut slowing growing into something less blunt and choppy. This time, I left the salon SO HAPPY. I don't want my hair to grow out or the colour to fade. I absolutely adore everything Michelle did to make me love my locks again. Seriously 10/10. Not once did I feel like she was trying to sell her products or line to me, not once did I feel ripped off or overcharged. Above all of this, Michelle took the time to answer all my questions and really explain to me how I can style my hair on a day to day basis. She walked me through blow drying, curling and product application. I now feel confident and excited to try new things. Looking forward to my next visit already!
