He lifted our generator to keep it from being submerged or swept away. While there, he noticed our propane tanks had broken loose and were floating in the floodwater. He went into chest-deep, freezing water to retrieve them and secure them to nearby trees so they wouldn't be lost. That kind of dedication is rare.
