What was quoted as a six-week project with defined functionality ultimately took much longer and resulted in a poorly functioning website and unexpected additional billing. In June 2025, we signed a contract with them to rebuild/update our company website and paid the required 50% deposit to start the project. The proposal stated that the new website would have the same functionality as our existing website, and the project timeline was estimated at six weeks. About a month into the project we requested an update and learned that very little work had been completed. Around that same time, we were informed that the developer originally assigned to our project had left the company. A new developer was assigned, but there was no formal introduction or transition meeting. From that point forward, progress remained slow and the project took much longer than originally estimated. Throughout the process we encountered multiple issues and delays. Later in the project we were informed that our allocated "project hours" had been used and that additional work would be billed separately. This was unexpected given our understanding of the original scope of work in the contract. While we questioned some of these charges, we ultimately ended up paying additional invoices to move the project forward. Based on our experience, the timeline and scope outlined at the start of the project did not align with how the project ultimately unfolded. I would encourage anyone considering working with StellarBlue AI to carefully review the contract terms, project scope, and billing structure before starting a project.
