Not for nothing, the website brought us in wrongly, so try to be a little nicer to your confused customers. Then he tried to convince me that a smaller TV for more money was better. Why? Because it was. Good sell. How about you give me something to back up WHY the other TV was better? No thank you. We walked in and then we walked out. (We actually had a little trouble walking in because one employee was trying to push a line of like 20 carts in the front door....breaking those up into two lines would have absolutely helped the gridlock and struggle.)

Sure, it's true that the "fresh" fruits and vegetables are overpriced, and certainly the selection is not as great as something like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. The Acme is a store of bare essentials: those poptarts you wanted for breakfast, a nice bottle of gatorade (only $1 for the 32 ouncers as of this posting), a loaf of bread, et cetera. Also, I have never had to wait in line to check out. Not even for a minute. With three new self-check out stations, I think that issue has been fully resolved. Pro-tip: There is a dirt path on the 14th Street side of the Acme that leads to the train tracks. It's a cool place to drink a beer.

On a consistent basis, the staff is kind, courteous, upbeat, and just beyond helpful. I am offered a cart practically as soon as I get out of the car by the young men working in the lot. Employees smile and greet me, and often stop to fawn over my children. Cashiers pleasantly ask me if they may ring me up (instead of being annoyed if I choose their line, like some stores I know). I drive past 3 stores with somewhat lower prices on the same merchandise to go to this Acme, because I know it will actually be a fun experience. And how many people grocery shopping with 2 very small children say THAT?

They have nice fridge and freezer selection of drinks and ice creams as well as meats for KBBQ. They also have a section that sells cosmetics, cases of ramen, authentic Korean dinnerware, and other kitchen appliances/gadgets. We come here at least once a month (if not more) for a big pantry/fridge restock or just for a few things to make at home. I always get a gim bap to eat in the car on my drive home, so yummy! I definitely suggest checking this place out; their snack/candy isle has a good selection. Even if you done need anything I still suggest coming in to browse I'm sure something will grab your eye. Prices are a bit more expensive than a big supermarket or farmers market but being one of the few in DE I'm OK with paying a bit more and supporting a local business (and their produce selection isn't rotten or old & wilted).
