After an amazing lunch experience at another Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Paris, my husband and I were excited to try yet another one for dinner. However, we left with disappointment and hunger.
While making our order, the server left I was talking mid-sentence to serve another table their prepared dishes --despite that there were other servers that helped the other table. We were left unattended for quite some time, before the server came back to take our order, which I had to reiterate from the start.
Prior to my reservation, as well as to our visit, I emailed the establishment twice to ensure that they would be able to accommodate my vegan diet (in English and in French), to which they responded "with pleasure". I mentioned this again, twice more, that I would like my dishes to be vegan. However, my appetizer was served with cheese. As the server place my plate, she asked, "there is cheese. Do you eat cheese", to which I said, "no". Even so, she asked, "is this okay?" Concerned that the food may be thrown out if I declined to eat my plate, I told her that it's ok and that I would eat it. My husband was server a wrong item, which was sent back to be corrected.
For my main menu, I received a literal pot of roasted vegetables with a refilled basket of bread we were served at arrival. Dessert was not amusing as well, as it was simply a bowl of strawberries with strawberry syrup on top. My husband's food seemed to look better, but he was extremely dissatisfied with the disrespectful service we received. read more
