After hearing about Horizon Plaza, I crossed my fingers hoping to find some good outlet mall prices. Bumps to Babes has a pretty substantial space for Hong Kong standards, and the price tags don't hit your wallet TOO hard! To give you an idea, the cheapest crib that I liked in Central was going for $4400. Starting prices for the cribs here were at $2000 (mattresses ranging from $250-4000), and with additional discounts they went as low as $1500. They have a good stroller variety, too. The cheapest stroller that I had my eye on in Central was going for $1950 and it was a brand I was unfamiliar with. We were able to find a Maclaren that we really liked for $1900, so we ended up getting it. In addition to furniture, you can also find accessories, baby clothing, maternity clothing, toys, and books, a lot of them discounted. Overall, I thought this store was worth the trek out to Ap Lei Chau for and I highly recommend parents with newborns or toddlers to check this place out if they're looking to save some cash!

Located on the 1st floor of iSQUARE, they use their space wisely. On the same floor are as them are other baby goods stores. Quite convenient for a one stop shopping busy Mum. I came here to get a gate for one of my doors to prevent my little dog from going inside. I asked an employee once I walked in and she was very pleasant and directed me to their gates straight away. I was a bit surprised that they had a good amount of variety, since the space isn't too large. I picked the one I wanted, and they helped me bring it to the cashier which helped a lot because it was quite heavy. I also noticed they had a good variety of strollers and carseats. They also sell some baby foods and snacks, some organic, some not. Of course they had lots of toys around to keep the kiddies occupied while you pick up the things you need. I also noticed that staff were extremely kid friendly. They were all very gentle. After paying for my things, the cashier asked if I would like some help to bring the gate down to the streets! How very nice of them to offer that service. I guess they saw that I would struggle just a tad carrying heavy gates half my size. I really appreciated their services.

They do have the "Public Hospital Kit" for those mommies who will be delivering in the Public Hospital System. This kit includes all those things on the list that the public hospitals require that you bring like those huge square pads. My general feeling about Eugene baby is that they do cater to the Hong Kong mother, generally - the Asian mother. (As opposed to Bumps to Babes, which seems like they cater to the USA) Eugene carrys a lot of asian brands that I couldn't find elsewhere such as the bottle brand Pigeon - which is a Japanese company. They also carry a good amount of maternity pillows, breast pumps, and baby carriers. They don't have a big selection of baby foods such as food pouches, and baby formula. They have some, but you can find a better selection elsewhere. With all that they carry, I still feel like I need to go to another store.

The Silver Cross shop at LCX does an extremely good job at selling themselves. The fact that the British Monarch's newest member sleeps and rides in their top of the line pram is already a free PR boost. The shop tops that off with the exact model they are using prominently placed at the front of the store - you really won't miss it as its so pompous that you'd have to be a Wales or Rockafeller to use one. At least it would just look out of place in Hong Kong where most houses are smaller than that. Prices aren't cheap but compared to some other brands their offering are actually quite moderate. Quality wise I would say quite good but their expertise seems to be the cross over they do with other brands-e.g Aston Martin. If you are looking for a bit of Britishness and class for a reasonable price then Silver Cross is for you.
