They have the loveliest lace dresses for evening events too! Mind you, items sold here are of great quality so expect to pay an average about 800-900 for a dress. At most you could spend 1,400 for a dress. But you will get LOTS of wear from it. So I'd consider it money well spent. They also carry beautiful maternity lace bras and underwear that average about 400 per bra. They also have lotions and organic oils and the bebe au lait breast feeding cover - the best breast feeding baby cover ever! If you want a in-store personal shopper, they offer this, so make an appointment. My new go to maternity store!

We got about 10 items ranging from pants, a jacket, a few shirts and two sweaters. The second time we stopped in (two days later), the promotion ended however, there were discounts on certain items throughout the store. The deals were so good, we wanted to buy more but our suitcases were too full already. I would definitely shop at this store again the next time I am in Hong Kong!

I have been traveling through this airport for years and I only recently discovered this store on my last trip. So if you need to do a google search for more locations, search under the name "Living Plaza by Aeon". Back in New York, the Daiso chain has finally started to make an appearance on the east coast. Their stores are more concentrated in the west coast with a few in the mid west. The airport location is large for an airport store, with a variety of great products! I tell you this from a standpoint of having been abroad in Japan and having seen some of their Daiso locations myself. I feel the need to give this disclaimer: of course it is more cheaper to go visit Daiso in Japan (everything there will be priced starting at 100 yen). If that is not feasible to you, then visiting this store is more reasonable despite the higher cost. (12HKD = 166 yen approximately). After checking in our bags at Terminal 1, we actually walked back all the way to Terminal 2 with our carry-ons (walk took about 12-15 mins walking quickly) in order to visit this store before boarding our flight. If you time it right on your next trip, you too can have a mini speed shopping spree (save room in your carry-on if you can!). I will call this store a higher end dollar store; a dollar store on steroids if you will. They have travel pillows, typical travel accessories you would really need on your journey, but they also offer a great home section: home decor, home organization, kitchen; laundry section (I picked up a cute laundry bag!), a beauty section and much more. The stationary section is so cute. I couldn't decide which pens to buy so I just walked over to the wall and grabbed a whole bunch! They make great souvenirs too and since they are so unique everybody at work will know this pen only belongs to you and you only! As the other reviewer has commented on, the pricing starts at $12 HKD which is affordable. My laundry bag was on the pricier side of $60HKD but if you compare it to something you would buy at typically Bed Bath and Beyond or Target, then I still think it's better due to quality and price comparison. There is a whole section for toys, dishes/bowls, snacks, hobbies (sewing, gardening, etc) and random tools/gadgets. I had found this baby stroller S hook and a baby stroller blanket clamp to secure the blanket from falling out, something I had been searching for in a few Daiso locations in Japan couldn't locate. I gave these out to my expecting friends as gifts (I don't think it's something you think about or see often in use in the US). If I had more room in my suitcase I would have shopped more. The store wasn't crowded when we stopped by and the cashier was friendly and courteous. I believe they accept Octopus card payment/Cash/Credit Card. Left a hefty balance on your Octopus card? Spend it here! For those of you returning to the East Coast, Daiso currently has two stores open: one in Edgewater, NJ by Mitsuwa Market and another in Skyview Center in Flushing, NY (both stores opened in 2019). If items are not marked with a specific price, then it's assumed to be only HK$12! Most other items that are pricier, like a travel neck pillow will run approximately HK$25 and thick nylon tote bags with zippers for around HK$60. All still very affordable for an airport store! The shop is always neatly organized and the employees are polite and speak English. A plastic shopping bag will run you $0.50. I could spend hours here, but alas, there's a flight to catch!

I came out this way a few years ago, a few weeks ago and now just yesterday (in pursuit of after X-mas sales). Horizon Plaza (where the all the main shopping is) is one 30 story building. It is kind of located on the tip of Ap Lei Chau and feels like a barron spot, full of warehouses. Each floor has different stores. There are many floors and stores that are entirely dedicated to furniture and home decor. I concentrate on clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, which then eliminates many floors. I now really seek out the brands and stores I personally love and skip all the rest. If you go, here are a few tips that I wish I knew when I first went: 1) Take the elevator up to the top floor and work your way down. The elevators (they are relatively small, they are always packed and can be slow) are a great way to get to the top, start there and work you way down...by the stairs. Take the elevators if you must, but it is a juggernaut that is going to slow you down. 2) There are two stairwells. One stairwell has men's and then ladies restrooms on every other floor right there on the landing of the stairwell. The other stairwell has a handicap restroom on every floor. 3) It helps if you know your brands and their pricing. It helps to know what kind of deal you are getting and the stuff that is not such a great deal. For example, there is a Lane Crawford Outlet that occupies the entire 25th floor. The $30,000HKD Channel coat at Lane Crawford outlet is then marked down to $12,000HKD. So again, know your brands and their pricing. This might seem like a deal to many, but others might not ever imagine spending that much for a coat, regardless of who made it. So I repeat, you simply have to understand the vast array of brands sold in Horizon Plaza and look for those you know and like. 4) There are several stores that sell multiple brands under one roof. For example, the Imaginex Outlet is one store that sells BCBGMaxazria, Donna Karen, Tumi, and others in the same store. So if you are looking for one brand that does not have their own self standing store in Horizon Plaza, that does not necessarily mean the brand is not sold at Horizon Plaza. Another example, I personally love and wear Vivienne Westwood. There is not a Vivienne Westwood self standing store, but rather her stuff is sold at the Moda Mia Outlet store on floor 27. 5) There are limited options for food and drink. So go having had a meal or a good breakfast. You have to wander down the street to Harbour Industrial Center for something to eat if you are famished. Although it totally looks like a residential building and a warehouse in many ways, there are two cafes inside. One is Artichoke Canteen and can be found on Yelp (3rd Floor). 6) The PRADA outlet is not in Horizon Plaza and not walkable. You would have to hop in a cab to Marina Square maybe 7 minutes away, but still on Ap Lei Chau. 7) I think this trip after Christmas, I saw the biggest discounts. All Vivienne Westwood clothes, shoes and bags at Moda Mia were 90% off. I think this is a holiday thing though, for standard at most outlets is more like 30-50% off regular retail prices during a normal visit not associated with a holiday. 8) We take a cab out here from the Sheung Wan area where we live. The cab costs about $100HKD and is the easiest way to get there. I takes maybe 15 minutes. There is extensive construction on Ap Lei Chau buidling their MTR stop, but that is some time out before that opens (maybe late 2016, or 2017). There is also a shuttle bus option, but I have not taken that, so I cannot speak to it. There is also a big parking garage.

Shopping in Hong Kong…read more.. We stopped at this store because of its name: CHEAP LAB It was kind of like a "dollar store", but not quite. I got a pair of bunny socks for 12 HK$ and some red envelopes with Cony on them - thanks to Irene for pointing them out! She even went upstairs and found a Cony and Brown notebook set for 30 HK$! Wow! It was on sale because it was the last one. I found a bunny towel that can squish into my luggage. I wasn't able to get any cute containers with Sanrio character... My luggage is packed already! Haha! This store was a bit crowded as aisles are not wide and customers are looking at items and blocking tthe way. There were many interesting finds!

Cheap Lab...IMO reminiscent of Dollar General because of the glaring yellow banner…read more The name was not appealing but the bright lights and what I can assume was non-licensed Disney lunar new year wall signs / decor drew me in. Stitch, Mickey, Donald & Daisy with red and gold Chinese sayings were an easy souvenir pick up. Just a few bucks and everything was reasonably priced. I ended up getting pens I had not seen in the US, some stationary items, keychains, and buy 4 get 1 free sticker. The latter if you are remotely into sticker collection will blow your mind. You have to go downstairs and it is wall to wall sheets of stickers. Every animal imaginable, food, pets, shapes, sports, etc. Averages out to $1.50 USD per sheet; I got 3 different penguin sheets! Score for me. :) The cashier did not speak English but the register display is very large. Worked out fine for me since I only had to pay.
