First, the practitioners will parrot the same recommendations regardless of whether they make sense. And when you ask them to explain their reasoning they'll clam up. This whole breastfeeding institute or whatever they call it is a joke -- in a couple of appointments, their main recommendation was actually to use a Facebook group!! Second, the scheduling system and approach is nonsensical. You must call to get anything scheduled, and in order to get a real person on the line you have to possibly spend hours on the phone I suspect this is their way of reducing volume when they cannot keep up; they are assuming that some parents would just give up and miss the time window and go away. But one thing they are truly good at is billing -- those arrive right on the dot. In summary, why would you go to them: - For medical expertise? No, most of the time you don't even see a doctor. And the ones aren't anything special - For convenience? Big hospitals are not great, but at least you can call anytime and schedule online. Not like Senders. Ok so I'd rather that my deductible is applied to the lesser amount. I've also had X-Rays done that have been a fraction of the cost I would have paid in a hospital. They have an open MRI for those that need this type of machine due to phobias. I think that this MRI might have been the most thorough that I ever had. The test I had was 45 minutes without contrast. The last 15 minutes I was injected the contrast and I did not feel it. I think the technicians name is MaryAnn, she had angel hands. Tip: If you have any past MRI's done take them in so that they have something to compare it to. Remove all jewelry, stay still so that the images are clear, make sure you use the restroom beforehand. Make sure you let them know how thankful you are that they are their to help you.
