Our contemporary style house comes with trendy horizontal railings on our balcony, which makes for an inviting ladder to the typical toddler. Luckily, we haven't had to find out just how inviting it is for our little guy to go up and over, because Staci from Baby Safe Homes nipped it in the bud for us. I contacted Staci a couple of weeks before we moved in, and she responded immediately. We scheduled the on-site consultation for the day of the move-in. She showed up when she said she would, measured out the Plexiglass sizes we would need, and mocked up a quote on the spot. She came back in less than a week to fit and install the Plexiglass. It's been almost 3 months, and the Plexiglass still looks *almost* like glass. Staci mentioned that it'll discolor and get cloudy over time, and she gave us some care instructions to keep it looking clean for as long as possible. First, if you care about the safety of your children, NEVER EVER HIRE STACI to install baby gates. She installed 4 gates in our home. It has been less than 1 year since installation. Two of the gates (top floor) are broken. I have reached out to Staci 4 times through text messages and once via voicemail. She has NOT RESPONDED. In the meantime I cannot take my eyes off my babies with the fear of them falling to their deaths. So, MY advice to you is, FIND A DIFFERENT company to install your custom baby gates, again if you care about your children. read more
