What to do when it's mid afternoon at Camp North End, you just had a glorious time watching your 5 y.o. great niece fun it up at the Crayola exhibit, you're hungry and want just enough to tide you over till dinner? Enter Babe and Butcher and a create your own charcuterie box! Lots of meat, cheese, spread and other treat options to make up a munchalicious nosh for 4. Also, while I haven't taken advantage yet, the large range of platters to purchase seem like an easy way to class up your next soirée.

What an awesome spot! Today was their grand opening ! The staff was super friendly and offered options if you weren't quite sYou get the option of creating your own (mini or regular size) or going with the options they have available. I chose a create your own mini box to try and I totally wished I had gotten several boxes. With the mini you get your choice of one cheese (I did Gouda), one meat (Breslau), three "sides" (cucumbers, strawberries and grapes) then they topped it with edible flowers. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Feed me Charcuterie .. Babe & Butcher opens their new location located in Camp North End Tomorrow . Yesterday I attended the preview event to sample a charcuterie board of my choice along with checking out what all they have to offer & the space . What a cool fun twist this is, if you love charcuterie boards like me then you'll love this concept where you can go in and build your own charcuterie boards available in individual boxes or boards in various sizes . For all my vegan lovers you'll be happy to know they even offer vegan charcuterie boards .

I had heard of this place and knew it was charcuterie focused, but didn't realize that they had options to build your own individualized boxes on the spot! I was very excited when I walked in and saw the set up. Both people working were very friendly and gave us the rundown of how it worked. They also provided plenty of recommendations and allowed us to sample a few items. I built myself a regular sized box. I really enjoyed the truffle cheese and their flavored goat cheeses were delicious! I can't wait to come back again next time I'm in camp north end.

Babe and Butcher is located at camp north end and on by the sweetest couple the babe and Butcher! Whenever I go in, I'm always greeted and welcomed with a smile. It is always so clean inside! Definitely a photo opportunity available in front of their neon sign. I usually create my own charcuterie board filled with all of my favorites seen in the picture. The fruits and veggies are always so fresh and the small plate is filling. Sometimes I grab a bottle of wine or the strawberry lemonade to go with my drink . Definitely one of my favorite spots and I I try to visit every time I'm on that side of town.

During our day trip to Camp North End we stopped in Babe & Butcher to sample a classic charcuterie plate. They had pre-selected trays or you could customize your selection. I love cheese, crackers and fruit so I couldn't go wrong with any tray. The cheeses, creams, meats, vegetables and fruit were on display available for selection. Everything was fresh and looked delicious. The staff was super kind and helpful. I packed my order to go and shared it with my son as we watched a movie. He ate the strawberries and oranges first then the meat and cheese. I paired mine with a glass of wine and thoroughly enjoyed it! Next time I visit I'll order a larger size and a variety for myself to enjoy. They also have new hours Thursday-Saturday 11am-8pm.

Finally tried Babe & Butcher on their 1 year anniversary and it was just as wonderful as I thought it would be! The space is beautiful, with the menu adoring the walls, all the Instagrammable neon signs etc.! They do have some seating outside and of course since it's Camp North End there are even more places to sit. If you haven't been, it's a build your own charcuterie concept that even has vegan options! I got a mini box with walnuts, strawberries, dark chocolate, prosciutto and manchego! When you check-out they also offer you crackers or gluten-free crackers which I thought was a really nice touch. They have larger box options or even cones available which is a great option if you want to walk around Camp North End. I also got a birthday box which came with the amazing Batchmaker's cake, strawberries and macarons. The birthday box would be a perfect gift for a friend as a single size portion! I will definitely come back again! They aren't open on Sundays though so if you're coming on the weekend - go on Saturday!

I attended a wine tasting that had three Babe and Butcher full sized boards, which were all beautifully arranged with tasty and unique charcuterie items. The three boards I tried were: the charcuterie board, the flora charcuterie board, and the chocolate dessert board. All were spectacular - I did not try one thing I didn't enjoy. There was one spicy cheese that was absolutely to die for- see pictures attached for photos of the boards (apologies in advance - the photos were taken after the digging in began!) I definitely recommend visiting Babe and Butcher and ordering their boards for your next event.

    All the things. Artfully arranged.

Dear Babe and Butcher, Please be in charge of all the things! The grazing table you set up for our wedding was such a beautiful work of art. The details (tastefully arranged flowers) and the selections of cheese, meats, and fruit were divine! The crackers were a delightful surprise. Everything was thoughtful and more importantly delicious. Our guests were absolutely wowed by the look and taste of the offerings on the table. If anyone is doubting whether a B&B grazing table would be a good addition to their wedding or event, all I can say is that it will be an element your guests will talk about about for a long time after. No regrets. So amazing. Would absolutely do again!!!

Wine soaked cheddar, Brie, and honey berry goat cheese with prosciutto

Build your own charcuterie box? Yes please! One of my favorite places in Charlotte for sure! Great selection and good portions! Everything was fresh and delicious! We tried the wine soaked cheddar, honey berry goat cheese, and Brie. I would get all of them again! The four berry jam was also delectable. We'll be back again and again!

They do a great job with charcuterie boards for yourself, COVID-friendly individually packaged charcuterie boards to enjoy with friends, and front door delivered charcuterie boards to surprise ones you love! I've done all the above and each experience has been consistent and delicious. Portions are great! Pro tip: add truffle bread to your order! You do get crackers with each individual box you order. During times of COVID, the delivery service they provide has been great to send birthday wishes, retirement celebration packages, and much more. Being able to personalize a note on the delivery makes it really special! Of course, if you're hosting a party or get together, the individualized boxes or long table length boards are absolutely perfect and definite crowd pleasers. There's veggie boxes, more cheese than meat boxes, sweets boxes -- something for every kind of person looking for charcuterie heaven.

Fantastically beautiful and delicious! I first tried B & B early into the pandemic as a treat and had a lovely dessert box delivered to my home. I was promptly texted by the driver when it arrived and it was left at my door very nicely sealed for safety. I was so pleased by the delivery that I immediately posted video praise to my IG page. Everything was arranged so prettily and the quality of the treats and taste were so high quality that I ordered another one a few weeks later (I may or may not have even eaten the flower ) Can't wait for the outside to open back up and distance to return to personal space, so I can throw my first post pandemic brunch bcuz B & B will definitely be on the menu!

I just love charcuterie. I wish every meal could be fruit, veggies, cheese, and bread with pickled garnishes. I always feel like I'm eating complementary to our design. Anyway, it's convenient to have a place like this with a wonderful variety of food options to satisfy a variety of cravings. And let me just say I could eat the blueberry balsamic goat cheese every day and be happy. Go get THAT if nothing else ASAP. You're welcome!

Overall the fruit was amazing and fresh though, just a bit impractical with the pineapple. Now the biggest reason I was unhappy with their catering was because when the dessert was served, they cut very few pieces and had them on the table for guests to grab. That's great, but those pieces were quickly gone and nobody was serving more pieces and the caterer didn't leave the little dessert plates on the table for people to serve themselves either. Secondly, while we sat down for dessert, the photographers yelled out that they wanted everyone on the dance floor for a quick group photo. After the photo was taken, I get back to my table and me and my husbands dessert is gone. The caterer was clearing all the tables as we took that photo which was so annoying since it took me forever to get a plate of dessert to begin with! Anyway, the foods not bad, just the way a few things were done was definitely the most memorable part of the wedding for me unfortunately.

There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
