    The otter experience

Scammmerrrrssss! Came from out of town to have the otter experience. We arrived on time and there was another group ahead of us who went first. We were also informed that they believe one otter is pregnant so we were not able to have the full experience we paid for. We decided to make the best of it since we were able to feed them still. Once we got to the encounter, all that was allowed was feeding them through a tiny hole and see them from behind a fence with a small window. When it was our turn, the employee stated they didn't know we were there for the otter experience and that the group ahead of us already fed them. So we were able to watch them play in the water which we could've done as a regular guest as well. They put their hands through the tiny holes but only 2-3 times since we didn't have food. We asked for a refund since we were not able to do anything that was advertised and Shyanne, the manager, didn't have the decency to talk to us and sent someone else over to say there was nothing they could do. Very sad this was my birthday experience and they did not make it right. Didn't offer a discount or other encounter that was open. Spend your money elsewhere because these people clearly don't care about their guests, or animals by the looks of the place.

Super cute experience! We were expecting a small petting zoo. And we got a huge assortment of animals! We were all surprised! Checked in and they were so friendly. Couldn't believe how many animals they had! And so many you could feed and pet! Absolutely amazing experience.

    A very relaxed Kangaroo

Wow! What a great time we had here! Fantastic, kind & knowledgeable staff took their time with us and explained about all of the animals. They answered all of our questions. I will definitely take the family back soon

Really enjoyed this non profit out in the country. It was established to allow disabled adults and children interact with a variety of animals. Kangaroos, ponies, goats, monkeys, camels and so many more. All the animals looked healthy and happy. They have been trained to be gentle with people. You can buy a cup of pellets and feed many of them. The animals in cages had lots of toys to play with. Concrete paths throughout. Staff kept all the pens clean. A fun day for anyone that likes animals. My granddaughters age 7 and 9 had a great time.

I went back here and I feel like they have done a lot better but they definitely need to get on the shaving of the animals it is way to hot right now to be having these animals will almost full coats. I felt so bad for the black face sheep with "white fur"... also the porcupine was so desperate to be cool due to the heat he was all the way in the corner where the mister was hitting but directly in the sun... ironic. I feel like they need to be recognizing these little things and fixing them stat. But overall staff is very friendly and nice.

The camel bit me when I was on a field trip in pre-school, yes it may have been 19 years ago but I'm still afraid of that same camel.

All the activities from the Slide, Feeding the Animals, the Cows and Animals, the chicken coop, the photo Ops, all the activities basketball hoops, the corn maze was our favorite & so much more there is to do you can easily spend a whole day here. Loved how clean and organized the place was there were different handwashing stations if you fed the animals and the Potty's they had outside were clean and didn't have a bad smell appreciated that. The food options we wanted we didn't get to try but that's ok. It was a bit windy that day that made some activities hard to do or for the corn to get roasted and so fourth, we grabbed some of their donuts and warm apple cider that was so good and perfect for the chilly weather. There was also pumpkin picking and loved that you can go out to the field and grab a wagon and such a fun activity to do with the family. They also had a lot of fun picture ops with the pumpkins as well & the little barn area that was decorated with pumpkins. Their sunflower field was so amazing I had never been to one but it was magical. Wear shoes you don't care for cause it was muddy in the fields and you can take the ones you like and just pay for them at the little shack. They also had tons of Zinnias that were beautiful and those were up for purchase as well. All in all it was def a fun place to visit, I mean their corn maze was shaped like a Jet & not to mention the Pig Races! Grab your family & friends and stop on by..

There are also people who walk around with falcon-gear complete with falcon on their arm. Falcons, condors, owls, and an eagle were represented. They put on a short presentation where they allow a Peregrine Falcon to fly around the room while they talk about falconing, etc. That was exciting. There are outdoor and indoor exhibits. We picked a great day to visit - it was over 80 degrees, so we spent a lot of time walking around visiting the outdoor exhibits. We didn't miss anything indoors either. The birds were not shy and being so close to their enclosures was so cool. There are several different types of falcons and raptors. My favorites were the California Condor whose wings span 9 feet across and the cute harpy eagle. The live demonstration with Macey was neat. She brought out Clara, a small falcon that would fly right above our heads from perch to perch. If coming to Boise, thos is a great stop. You only need up to 90 minutes to take it all in and learn about how the Peregrine Fund is saving so many birds from extinction.

One of my favorites parts of the path was when went past the Boise Zoo and saw not just one, but too giraffes poking their heads up at the trees.
