Baan Saraiva's is a Thai Restaurant next to Parque Eduardo VII in Lisbon. Surprisingly, this place hasn't been reviewed yet. What a hidden gem!!! Service, food, ambiance and menu were all fantastic!
We ordered Massaman curry, pad see ew, garlic fried rice and moo kob. The dishes were delicious!
We have eaten Thai food literally around the world and are fairly selective in what we enjoy and consider good. This place is among the best we've had!
The Massaman was delightful! Plenty of pleasant heat accompanied potatoes, onions, peanuts and chicken in a great representation of the dish. The peanuts didn't overpower anything and the aromatics were on point. Even the star of anise showed up! Massaman is a favorite canary in the coal mine for me when it comes to Thai food for how often it's soon poorly. Here, the restaurant executed it very well!
The moo kob had a crispy skin that was a treat to enjoy over the garlic fried rice and.
The pad see ew had marinated noodles and a healthy medley of veggies that blended together very well.
In the end, we were worried we may have over ordered but we managed to clear the table.
