L'Shear Bar - Make-up-$45.00

I went to Legacy Salon and Spa for a hair appointment with Angie at L'Shear Bar and Salon. I took a…read morepicture of the hair color I wanted done to my hair and was assured that she could re-create that look on my hair. When I walked into the Salon my hair was up to my rear. Angie bleached my ends and set the timer for 45 minutes. She did not check my foils at any point during this duration. Once she washed the color out she put a leave in conditioner on my head and left the Salon for close to an hour to pick her daughter up from school. I've been to Angie before and she did not previously put a leave in conditioner in my hair despite the fact that she has colored it before so this automatically worried me. Once Angie finally washed my hair and revealed the color to me it looked nothing like the picture and my hair felt like elastic rubber bands and was falling out in bundles literally falling out. Angie struggled to dry and straighten my hair, which continued to fall out but only now it looked like a bundle of straw just falling out of my head. I expressed my concern and my unhappiness with the service. Angie went on to cut the ends of my hair because according to her "it was so unhealthy." I get my hair trimmed regularly every 6 weeks and it is impossible that my hair was that unhealthy and if it was then she should have refused to put any bleach or color on it. I communicated to her that my hair was nothing like that when I walked in and it was clear that I was distressed. Angie then closed the door to her salon in fear that anyone would hear my complaining. She began to explain to me that color is damaging to the hair and that my hair only appears to be shorter because it went from dark to light (absolute ridiculousness). It is her duty as the hair stylist and expert in this field to explain to me the consequences of the hair coloring process as well as to let me know that it would not look like the picture. She said that I could come back in the next day and she would fix the color (meaning take me back to my original color because the color she did not on my hair was absolutely hideous and was not a hair color I can go to the workplace in) as well as treat my hair. That night and the next day my hair continued to fall out in clumps and was thinner in certain areas than others and was extremely uneven. Angie did not see me as promised and ignored my messages, forcing me to go to another stylist and pay another $100 in order to get my hair fixed. That hair stylist was in shock once she saw my hair. She showed my how my hair was fine in certain areas and thicker in the others. She showed me just how damaged it was due to the color that Angie put on my hair and explained to me that she had to deposit darker color on there (which could not damage my hair anymore than it was already damaged as well as treat it and cut it in order to rid it of the dead hair as much as she could. My hair is now to my shoulders and back to its original color. Angie finally texted me refusing to refund me my money as I have requested. she claims that she is there to please her clients and have them "red carpet ready any day of the week," (quote from yelp). I was not, however, happy nor red carpet ready. In fact I refused to leave my house with my hair looking the way it did. I literally went from long (to my butt) dark brown healthy and shiny hair to short unhealthy and dull hair to my shoulders. All because Angie did not perform the responsibilities of her job adequately. the purpose of this review is to simply ensure that what happened to my hair does not happen to anyone else under Angie's hands. Save you hair ladies and go somewhere else.

This was my first visit to this location, though not my first blowout experience. Unfortunately, it…read morewill also be my last for this brand. My daughter and I arrived five minutes before our 12:00 pm appointment. Another group checked in after us, yet they were taken back first. We weren't called until 12:10, and while I asked that my daughter be started on first (which they did), I was left waiting even longer. When my stylist finally brought me to the shampoo bowl, she apologized, explaining that another client had shown up 30 minutes late. I couldn't understand why management would allow a tardy client to disrupt scheduled appointments. My stylist, Crystal, was very kind and professional. We even talked about how important it was for my hair to last since we had an event in Greenville at 3:00 pm. I specifically asked for hairspray at the end to hold the curls. Unfortunately, by the time we reached our hotel around 2:00 pm, my hair was completely limp with no hold. The style barely lasted an hour, which defeats the purpose of a blowout. While my stylist did her best, the overall management of this location was disappointing. Allowing late clients to interfere with scheduled appointments, giving preferential treatment to guests who arrived after us, and requiring stylists to handle cleaning duties instead of focusing on clients all contribute to a poor customer experience. For context, I've been to Drybar and other blowout salons multiple times and have never had my style fall apart so quickly. I also typically receive a wash, cut, and blowout in under an hour--yet here, the timing felt unnecessarily prolonged, as if designed to increase charges. To be clear, this review is not a reflection on my stylist or my daughter's stylist--both were pleasant and received a 20% tip from me. My concerns are directed at the management and overall business model of this establishment. Would you like me to make this shorter and sharper for posting on Google/Yelp, or keep it in this longer, detailed version (which works well if you want to explain fully what happened)?

I was not sure what to expect and I have extremely long, thick hair, but Michelle did an absolutely amazing job! It turned out better than I could have imagined, and I am extremely happy with the results. They also had a laptop tray that I was able to use to get some work done while getting my hair done. Outstanding touch on the service! The place was also decorated so cute for Easter, which was a cute touch. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Rockwall.

I cant even give this individual one star. She single handedly destroyed my hair in 3 hours. I went…read moreto get some blonde highlights added to my hair and a root coloring. I am in the chair for 3 hours at this point i have about 100 foils in my hair and realize she has only put straight bleach in my hair. Every single strand about an inch and a half from the roots. She is taking one foil off at a time and spray with water and rubbing it with a towel and i notice her throw something on the floor and realized it was my hair! I reached back and felt my hair and came back with a handful of hair. I said oh my god is that my hair and she assured me it was not and pulled of the foil and put me in the sink! Every strand of my hair is pure white sans the one and a half inches of roots. I am freaking out and she is frozen not knowing what to do. She starts crying and says what are you going to do are you going to slam me on facebook. I told her i cant leave looking like this and to fix my hair! I literally looked like i had a clown wig on my head. I told her to mix the color of my roots so i could at least go out in public and she asks if she can have a moment and tries to leave. I told her you may not leave you need to fix my hair!! She mixes a bowl and starts to put the color on my hair and scowls at me the whole time! Then SHE RUNS OUT OF COLOR AND MIXES A TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOR AND TRIES TO PUT IT ON THE OTHER HALF OF MY HEAD!!!!! I managed to get my hair colored AFTER I DID IT MYSELF and i am brushing my hair and it is coming out in clumps. I walked out! I am 52 years old and have NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have added a before and after picture as evidence of the destruction she caused! You have been warned. Not sure how i am going to show my face at work on monday morning.

I have gone to Amanda for face wax and eyebrow wax and tint. She's always been very forthcoming and…read morelet's me know what she's doing from start to finish - and she's exceptionally thorough on aftercare. But, that's not the reason for this review. Today, I did my FIRST EVER BRAZILIAN WAX!! **GASP** IT WAS AMAZING!  Well, the waxing part stung a bit...but I have tattoos and went through 30-hours of unmedicated labor, so, this wasn't as bad as I had imagined. (Not saying you have to have those things to be able to tolerate a Brazilian wax, but that's how I psyched myself up for it). My appointment was at 8:45 this morning. She was there already so I didn't have to wait. She greeted me and then left the room so I could get undressed from the waist down (privacy, for this? Yes, thank you very much!) She already knew how apprehensive I was and how nervous this unknown was to me. She literary walked me through each step she was doing! She kept me talking...and not mindless babble, but really engaging conversation. I didn't have to strike an awkward pose - like the cannonball (knees to chest), the frog (soles of feet together and knees open wide), and I certainly didn't have to go face down, ass up! And she went over what to expect, what to do and what not to do, and extensive after care. There was no time to keep one side covered while she did the other side - she worked both sides so easily! So, when the right side was done, she just had me change my leg positions! (The position I was in was on my back, if left leg was straight, my right leg was bent to make a figure 4, and vice versa.) And for the back end, all I did was lie on my stomach. I didn't feel self-conscious, overwhelmed, or exposed at all. I even bought these little bottles of aftercare stuff, called Love My Muff! She uses them so she was able to explain their purpose to me. Oh, and when talking about those areas, she never made it crude or uncomfortable, just matter-of-fact. Before I end, let me tell you, she has the best music! So, with all that said, I highly recommend Sweet Vanity waxing.

I've been asked by friends if it hurts when I get waxed, and although I'm not taking a nap during my sessions, Amanda makes it as "painless" as possible with girl talk and making sure I remain comfy. Cute suite. Superb service. Comfortable sessions. Convenient booking. Competitive pricing. I have zero complaints!
