We found many great items at excellent prices that left with us! Mike is really nice and told us about other collectible stores in the area, but we found that none were as good as his. It is the definition of a small business --- the owner, Allison, is there every day behind the counter which I love. She is not only knowledgeable from first-hand experience (with both her kids) but she does a lot of research on "natural" baby toys, materials and such so her store has a great variety of products (not just cloth diapers!). I have bought not only a good selection of diapers, but clothing, tea, toys and wool dryer balls here. She also seems to take pride in being a part of the community and offers free cloth diaper classes and posts a lot of local info on her Facebook page. She is great about answering any question you may have... which as a first time mom, I really appreciate! She sells many handmade things (which I love!) to include jewelry, clothing, and toys.... she also has these graham crackers from a local vendor @ the register -- YUM! While I find the name of this store really hard to pronounce and generally just refer to it as the diaper store, it's a great place to stop in if you are walking around in the center of Troy. If you are in the market (or are thinking about trying cloth diapers) it's worth the drive. Huge amounts of back issues are set out with the new releases on top so if you want issue 1-4 and the new 5, you can get them all on one shelf without having to go digging. There is a good selection of alternate covers, tons of trade paperbacks and all kinds of collectibles as well. I never really want to leave and would probably spend many hours and much of my life savings in here if I didn't eventually reign it in and haul my purchases up to the counter. The employees are amazingly helpful and make you feel like a welcome friend. This is what a comic store is SUPPOSED to be like.

The only drawback to the store is that the building is old and not ADA compliant. The entry is via very steep stairs and no landing. It's kind of scary and I'm glad there are handrails. For those with mobility issues, don't worry, as there is in-store pick up, local delivery, and US shipping.

We mapped this place but honestly didn't have high hopes, simply due to the small town in which it's located. However, we walked inside and it is full... and I mean FULL of all kinds of geeky wonders! Comics galore, figures, vintage stuff, toys, you name it! My kid was able to a fat stack some sought after Invader Zim comics she's been hunting for ages. Husband got some graphic novels to hold him over. And yes, I found some manga that I'm super excited about for the flight home. These are like... some kind of obscure manga I've not found elsewhere. Bonus! Prices are great!
