So I dropped my iPhone in my coffee. Better than the toilet. Anyway, after doing all of the suggested things (put it in a box of rice, hairdryer, voodoo) it still wouldn't come back to life. I took it back to the Apple store to be told by a very nervous 'genius' that it was water damaged and therefore not covered by my warranty. Don't ask me how that works but from his nervousness I guess he has a lot of iPhones bounced off his head after delivering this information.
So I start to look into getting it repaired, everywhere I check either won't/can't do it or tell me it would be cheaper to just buy a new phone. Then I found B23 Repairs, just off the high street in Erdington. After checking it out for me they told me exactly what was wrong, what they would need to do to fix it, even that they were going to try to fix one part but if they couldn't they would have to replace it and it would cost a little more. They really didn't need to do any of this, they could have simply hit me with a price as I obviously had no idea about the ins and outs of iPhone repair.
While I was there a woman came in with her son's xBox saying she had been quoted £100 for the repair at another shop and asked if they could they do it for less. They checked it out and told her what was actually wrong with it would take 2 minutes to fix and they would do it for free as it didn't need repairing. Now that is some honest dudes! They could have just said "we'll do it for £50" and left it at that!
They repair all kinds of electronics, iPhones, iPads, android phones, Blackberrys, all kinds of cell phones, gaming stations, portable games, laptop and desktop computers, even sat navs.
Highly recommended for all kinds of electronic repairs. Nice chaps in there too! read more
