Lynn worked on my eyebrows for about 4 months before I moved out of state. In that time my poor brows had made great progress. Fast forward 2 years later, I've moved back to the area and without hesitation knew I had to allow Lynn to work her magic and get my brows back in shape again. Making an appointment was easy. She remembered me which made me feel special. This time around my brows weren't as bad off, but they will still need some work. I wouldn't trust anyone else but Lynn to give me brows to be envied. CRU-MM is one of those places. I remember that I was looking for an aesthetician at the time, and I was very impressed with CRU'MM's marketing materials and results. So I made an appointment for a facial and had a good experience overall. I remember Regina being very kind, her salon being very calming (with free snacks), and the facial itself being very good (notwithstanding a nasty acne bump I had on my face at the time). I have no complaints about the facial itself. The only reason I give the experience 4 (instead of 5) stars is because I remember a few things that were less than ideal. First, there is not clear communication about the exact location of the salon within the building, so that leads to unnecessary confusion after you arrive. Also, if I recall correctly, Regina was running a bit behind on the day I went, so I recall having to sit in a small waiting area while waiting for my appointment to finally start. There was one other couple there, and they were watching some kind of raunchy video on speaker. So it was not a relaxing or edifying experience before the facial began. Thankfully, the energy was very different inside Regina's salon once my appointment actually got started. In sum, I only visited once. But I had a good experience overall. Although it was not convenient enough of a location for me to continue going (such that I eventually found an amazing black aesthetician in Bethesda that I've been using for all these many years), I would still recommend that anyone in the Lanham area check CRU-MM out!

Also even though I have been getting waxed for years, there is still a level of discomfort that is constant but with Jazmine I was anxious but didn't need to be because it felt liked being quickly pinched, a quick type of discomfort... NOTHING like what I'm used to experiencing AT ALL and before I knew it, she was telling me that I could get dressed. I have been waxed in many different types of establishments by several types of estheticians and this is the BEST experience I have had to date. I'm super proud of any BLACK ENTREPRENEUR but a black business owner or establishment that treats its consumers as a priority will always get the green-backs I work hard for. As a practice, this business does not accept clients when Aunt Flo comes to visit. No problem. However, since these 'visits' are sometimes unannounced, early, and/or occasionally unexpected, it can be sometimes be difficult to adhere to her 24-48 hour cancellation policy. In my case, my 'visit' started a few hours before my last scheduled appointment. I texted her to let her know, and she asked me to cancel and reschedule. No problem. It was tough to find a new time slot on her calendar that worked with my schedule, but when I finally found one, I reached out to ask her to reschedule me since I didn't officially cancel through the Booksy site and I didn't want to get charged to deposit fees. She said that my previous appointment was automatically cancelled and that the deposit for that appointment was non-refundable since the appointment was not cancelled 24 hours prior. Well, 24 hours prior to that appointment, I didn't need to cancel, soooo... I thought that there should have been some flexibility there, especially given that she told me to cancel, but when I reached out and expressed this to her, she left me on read. It's disappointing, because I enjoyed doing business with her. However, if I can't at least have an open, honest dialogue with someone, then I'm not comfortable doing business with them either.
