We were shopping for a dress to wear to an upcoming event, and found not one but two that we liked, which together cost less than we expected to pay for a single dress most places. The store has a cozy feel, but not crowded, and we enjoyed seeing both familiar categories of jewelry and accessories, and things we hadn't seen before. The shop space is divided up into several rooms, which can be disorienting at first (to some of us), but then added to the charm & coziness. We enjoyed chatting with the owner, learning that the store was 57 years old and had been opened by his mother (or his parents?). Doubtless many of the antiques and globally sourced treasures were and are quite expensive, but there are also a lot of things at everyday price points. We look forward to visiting again.

My son had gotten stung by wasps in the town center nearby and she was kind enough to let us use her bathroom and even gave us free soap and a little toy to make my son feel better. Well that really saved us bc I was able to wash the wound which brought down the swelling. Would love to go and actually buy some toys for the boys next time we're in town. I only had 3 days left in the states so I assumed I wouldn't see it until my summer vacation ( the figure I purchased is about 4 feet tall and heavy) but when I shared that info they securely packed and shipped it the same day and he arrived in time for me to take him back with me. That being said...I was in town visiting relatives and stopped by the Fife's gift shop to buy a birthday present for someone. It was a Monday at 11:30am. The sign on the door said open Mondays, 10am - 5pm. The gift shop was locked up, no lights on. I strolled over to the restaurant to inquire, thinking maybe the proprietress had taken a potty break. The group of Spanish-speaking workers in the restaurant were clueless about the gift shop, so I gave up and went elsewhere. So...had to deduct stars. Sorry Gift Shop...but you really need to stay on top of your game. You never know when a Yelper might drop by and then post a review!
