Came across this little shop just walking around the village and I was so happy to find out they were reopened for business (after all the shutting down during covid). It's got the cutest vibes and their prices are still pretty reasonable. Love their style and how friendly the staff is. The best part is they package your purchase in a reusable tote (not only does this save plastic but you can totally reuse it!). There's a small shoe section (mostly women's) and some hand crafted, trendy, earrings (perfect for summer!). Loved that we could shop here and support the local but most importantly love how clean and hygienic this place is, especially during these times! Can a thrift shop be quiet but bustling? That's how I would describe this store. It's off the…read morebeaten main street of Kent, next to a church. It promises it donates profits from the store to charity, and is in a converted house. It does have a parking lot separate from the church, and has a ramp entrance as well as stairs. Inside there are about four rooms of shopping, mostly clothes. So many clothes. Women's, children's, probably men's in the room I skipped. There's also stuff interspersed - toys with kids, jewelry decorating the fireplace in the women's clothing room, and a room in back with nice glassware. On the glass - someone is doing their research. They're not priced unfairly ($6 for a vintage character glass), but they are priced what someone may charge trying to resell it, so it may feel steeper than what you normally see at a thrift shop. But it is for charity, and when a sale tag had been inadvertently stuck to an item I was interested in, they did work with me. Definitely interesting selections!

I dropped off a pair of boots for my wife after hearing her mention a heel had broken. Anyway, after scouring her special 'shoe closet' I had to build to contain her hobby I located them. Making a command decision on my own I went to this cobbler in Ct since our very very local one has retired. I was EXTREMELY surprised at the work done. They came back polished and all the tiny nics on the heel leather had been fixed as best as possible but they look as good as new. They were both done without me asking and for the price of $15.00 I feel well worth it. Definitely have found a new cobbler !!!
