I enjoy the fact that they are a smaller operation, and as a result of that can offer more personalized service, in my opinion. For the past 3 years running, they have provided regular lawn service, including mowing and weed whacking. They also helped adjust the mowing schedule to work around my lawn aeration and reseeding this past summer. Also they've done a couple of other specialized things for me, most recently including a tree removal. Fall of 2025, they offered snow removal in addition to the lawn service. Based on the weather so far this year, I've gotten lucky. They have been here multiple times, plowing my driveway in spite of some special needs. ( Curb stones, anyone?). I needed an emergency plow during one of the December snowstorms, when my mother was taking to the hospital. Joe literally was in my driveway less than 10 minutes after I called to make sure that I was able to get out and get to the hospital. Can't say enough good things. Is it the cheapest service in the area? No (with an asterisk*). It's a little bit more than what you pay a larger company, emphasis on the little, but in my opinion, I'm getting much more personalized service. For the fall / winter of 2025 2026, they've added plowing to their resume. It's the first year, so sometimes growing pains might be expected. With the heavier snowfall this year, more than once they've been to my residence multiple times in a single day to plow my driveway out. I wanted a larger stone bed installed in my backyard. These guys showed up a couple of days later and did a wonderful job. They gave me what I envisioned, they were hardworking and efficient, personable and they cleaned everything up afterward. All of this for a very reasonable price. But once the work is finished, his attitude completely changes and he becomes very rude. He did not properly remove the dirt, just piled up stones, and you can still see the fabric underneath. The quality of work was terrible. This was one of the worst experiences we've had with a contractor. The person we dealt with was Ben, and based on our experience, I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. Please be careful before hiring them.

This is a fraudulent business. We signed a mowing contract with the owner, Doug Vargo, paid in full…read morefor the whole season. Midway through the season, we get an unprofessional looking letter in the mail telling us that the business is being taken over by someone else, named Michael Butcavage. This person literally wrote that he is the new owner of the company and will strive to complete the necessary services, and asks to us to send a copy of our contract, which will "ensure that he will continue to provide the service as agreed between us and Doug, at the same price". When we reached out to this Michael, he informed us that the original owner, Doug, is in trouble with the FBI and had fled the country. When we asked if our lawn mowing service would be maintained, Michael refused to honor the contract, told us that our lawn is too complicated, and asked for more money. This individual has also harassed us via text message after we posted a review of this business elsewhere. Do NOT do any business with DV Lawn Maintenance or with Michael Butcavage. Michael Butcavage is condescending, a liar, and a greedy crook.

He reached out…read moreto us when the wind knocked over some huge pine trees in our yard, and within an hour he was over to give an estimate, which I found to be very reasonable. He was able to remove the trees off of the premises and cleaned up after they had been moved. He did it so fast too. Michael did such a great job, we are hiring him to take down more trees and he also has a Handy Man company, Handy Nam, LLC, which we are bringing him back over for to do some work in the house. Last thing, Michael is also so incredibly nice (on top of being prompt and professional), I couldn't feel any better giving him our business. I highly recommend him.
