This place (specifically Carlos) is incredible. Had a situation happen with my car a few blocks away, and Carlos immediately drove over in his own car, took time out of his busy day, and helped. He figured out the issue within minutes and was so kind. Will be recommending B&S Auto to everyone. Thank you Carlos!! read more

I'm so done stopping at this place. These guys are lazy. They do lazy work and charge you the high. The guys today were fighting over how to fix the screw in my tire, then politicked in Spanish on how much to charge me. $35 for a plug? Never again. If you guys need tire repair go here 5150 W Pico Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90019 It's worth the 10 minute drive from melrose. Trust me. I've been driving these La streets for 18 years. Thanks read more

My rear view mirror fell off, so I went there to ask if they could fix it. The greeter told me everyone was on lunch but got someone anyway. The guy who he brought over took one look at it, told me something was bent on the plastic part and he couldn't fix it. So of course I drove away, pulled over, and fixed it myself. Don't waste your time here. read more

Do NOT recommend. It took over three months and over 7 visits for them to figure out the issue which was a software update and an absolute waste of time. After $600 and three months, the issue still isn't resolved. Do NOT recommend. read more

The best of the best! They earned my loyalty with their amazing service and affordable prices.

Before discovering B&S Chevron in Hollywood, I always went to the dealership for car issues because I didn't trust taking my car to an independent mechanic. I had heard too many stories about people being overcharged or ending up with more problems than they started with. For the past four years, I've been going exclusively to B&S Chevron, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Carlos, the manager, is someone I trust completely. He and his team of mechanics are professional, honest, and always take the time to explain the work they're doing in a way I can understand. Their prices are fair, and the service is consistently excellent. I highly recommend this place if you have car problems--it's truly a shop you can trust. read more

these guys are honest and reliable!! they stopped me from being ripped off by another mechanic !!

By far the best mechanic I've ever been to! Carlos is extremely knowledgeable, patient and fair. I have taken my old car to his team several times and he always gives me a detailed explanation of the problem, a fair price for repair and is always done with services in a single day (even for major repairs). As someone who has been ripped off by mechanics in the past, I can't express how happy I am to have found an honest mechanic who does impeccable work. Can't recommend Carlos & his team enough. read more

treble service rude owner will create more issue that was not there before only so you will be backache day after to charge you more if at least they repair the issue that the car was there is the first place but no they make it worst if you care about your car and your wallet stay away read more

These guys completely misdiagnosed my car and then tried to over charge for their service. Totally rude mechanics. To the owners, some people actually know about how cars work but just don't want to work on them. Stop scamming people that don't know car mechanics. Stay away. read more

On my commute to work, my water pump decided to give out. Luckily, it happened in front of B&S. Although the work took longer than expected, I appreciate the mechanics at B&S staying late (on Halloween no less) and getting the work done. Thank you B&S! read more

I had a bumper issue with my brand new Benz and they fix it right away at a great price. Great work! Thank you gentlemen

Manager refused to tell me what was done to my car. Added services which were not approved. When I questioned the bill, I was told they were going to put back my car with the old parts and to come and pick up my car. Unbelievable! read more

After reading a lot of these comments I've come to realize they are not real. I had an AWEFUL experience. for three day I was calling Carlos who today told me he is the owner which makes this situation even more shocking. I have been asking for a copy of my invoice to be sent to me. After three day I decided I will go in person to pick it up after calling many times and Carlos not sending. I go in person and was told to come back In two hours. I come back two hours later and Carlos is getting a haircut a guy comes up to me and says come back in 30 min I didn't want to leave and come back again so I waited for 30 minutes and additional about ten for Carlos to finish talking to the guy who just cut his hair. Carlos did not like that I was waiting there and that obviously upset him because he began to tell me off calling me and my friend entitland rude. He could have said annoyed and that I would have to agree but entitled and rude don't match our character. He begins to say he is the owner he will absolutely not give me the paperwork and to leave all this while standing and using His hands and motioning me to leave which I obviously began to do I told him he is a very disrespectful man and I can't believe he is the owner of this business. He said he has so much business he doesn't care what I think. I chose to leave this review Incase someone wants to know a bit about Carlos's character before choosing where they do business. read more

They took a look at my car and seems like they did a good job! Then again, I have no idea.

So, just a little background. My grandfather owned a garage, and my Dad has worked on cars his entire life. I'm not the mechanic in the family specifically, but I know enough. Carlos is 100% my go-to mechanic in LA. I have recommended many people here, and everyone I have sent here has been extremely happy. I can not possibly say enough about how honest and reliable this place is. They have done amazing work on my BMW for years. read more

The guys are very friendly, honest and quick! The place has very affordable prices. Highly recommended. read more

İ recently visited B&S Auto to get my tires changed. İ was able to stop by the same day İ called and was in and out in just an hour. Great and fast service, fair and transparent pricing. Carlos and his team work very efficiently. Definetely recommend this place! read more

My car broke down just across the street from this guys, they even helped me to push my vehicle from the middle of the street! Even though their shop looks pretty busy, they managed to put me back on the road the same day!, and at a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

It can be hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but Carlos and his team are top notch. I took my 2003 Sequoia with almost 200k miles on it to B&S for years - oil changes, tune ups, mechanical issues, new breaks, etc. - and Carlos and his team always took great care of me. I drove that Sequoia halfway across the country 3 times in 3 years and I never worried anything would go wrong. Carlos is upfront about work that could be done versus work that needs to be done, something I found very comforting. And he won't try to push you to do anything. The one downside is that, unfortunately, it seems that a lot of people know how good this place is because it's often quite busy... but if you show up when they open or shortly thereafter, they can usually take care of you same day. read more

Carlos and his team are so diligent and hardworking. Decently priced and quick turn around time. Highly recommend.

Carlos & his team we're great! Quick response honest pricing & fast turn around. I brought my car in as my engine had been shaking & they had it all fixed up for me the next day! Highly recommend! read more

This place is amazing! I had an air pressure issue with one of my tires. I went in without an appointment, they found a nail in my tire, removed it, and patched the hole on the spot. I was there for a total of 10 mins and it only cost $20! Easy, nice people, affordable, what more could you ask for? read more

This was my first time here based on a recommendation from a friend and I've found these guys to be honest and extremely friendly. Walking into a situation not knowing what's wrong with your car can feel incredibly vulnerable. Carlos in particular was Incredibly thorough and assuaged my fears that the car had some serious engine problems (turns out it was just a bubble in my tire :). Prices were totally reasonable too. Such a difference from a place like Pep Boys that tries to sneak in unnecessary charges unless the wary eye catches it first. Couldn't have had a better experience than with B & S! read more

Poor customer service. 2 times asked for a simple oil change and they refused. Don't recommend this business

When I arrived - the employeeI behind the desk was speaking with a customer. I then noticed that that the employee did not have on a mask He didn't have one on his chin or arm or table. There was no mask anywhere close to him. He said " can I help you? I replied - "not without a mask" and I walked away. I don't know how good or bad their service is - but I do know that they don't enforce the employees on wearing masks - so in the middle of COVID - this is a hard pass for me! read more

PLEASE DON'T GO HERE. THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE YOUR CAR WILL GET TOWED TO IF YOU HAVE AAA AND ARE IN THE AREA. DON'T LET THEM TAKE IT HERE!!! PLEASE HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED TO YOUR NORMAL MECHANIC THAT YOU TRUST! THE GUY THAT WORKS HERE IS A F***ING SLEAZE THAT ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY!!! so now that that's out of the way, here's the story. my gf's mini cooper didn't start up one morning so she called AAA and the guy towed it here...WORST POSSIBLE THING THAT COULD'VE HAPPENED. They messed around with the car and completely broke the gear shift, like pulled the whole damn thing out. Then they asked for $350 to keep looking for the problem...at this point I got involved, saw the horrible yelp reviews, and called my usual mechanic, who said that's ridiculous. I told the guy that was working at this shithole that and asked me how much he's charging. Obviously my mechanic wouldn't know how much he would charge for a problem that he hasn't even diagnosed or a car that he hasn't even looked at. So i told the guy I was taking to this other shop where my mechanic is, and he started saying bullshit about how that guy wouldn't have the equipment to work with a mini cooper. WTF? Ultimately we took the car to the dealer to fix whatever was the issue since it was still under warranty, and turns out the only problem was the smart key, which wasn't being recognized by anything. And now my gf's stuck with a $1500 bill to replace the whole gear shift, which isn't covered by the warranty since this piece of shit repair shop busted it. This pisses me off, and those guys at B&S Auto should get punished. It's too bad there's nothing i can do except warn other people of this chop shop. read more

I am SO grateful to my neighbors at B & S Auto ! Carlos and his crew are the best - they never fail to take great care of my vehicles as fast as they can. Thank you for everything ! read more

Over my time as a driver I have extremely bad luck with tires. I am always getting a flat or a screw stuck in there because of these harsh LA streets. Carlos and the guys are always available at the drop of a pin to fix it on the spot and in the shortest amount of time possible. They charge so fairly and have never once over charged me, as a matter of fact, they're the best deal in town. I have also gone here for a shattered window and other small issues. I am a customer for life as well as going to refer all my friends because I trust these guys! But what really makes them special isn't their killer deals and fast, on the spot service. It's their empathy and willingness to help. I found these guys on a bad day and was crying, so upset (so girly, I know)! Carlos, not only helped me with my car, but was so understanding and nice to me, he actually made my bad day a little better. read more

I am so happy I went with them! Carlos is great!!! Fixed my car and didn't overcharge me. He saw I was stuck and had it fixed quickly. Plus even though I do know my stuff about he did not take advantage of me bc I'm woman. New mechanic team!!!!! Great job read more

B & S Auto - Carlos has been repairing my cars for the last ten years! He and his staff are by far the BEST mechanics in LA!! - Auto Repair Near Me - Los Angeles, California

LIFE SAVERS! Carlos and his skilled mechanics figured out my issue instantly and fixed it remarkably quick. I had taken my care to the dealership who could not fix my AC issue and after taking it back to them TEN TIMES, I went to B & S and on the FIRST visit they found what the dealership did wrong and fixed my car. They saved me further anguish by fixing it quickly and it was very affordable, less than I could have imagined. GO HERE! read more

Sorry but these guys are a joke and a rip off. My mother in law has taken her car here numerous times because they are down the street from her house. Every time they just rip her off. She's too old to understand what's going on. She just brought her car in 3 weeks in a row for overheating. They "fix" it, charge her $400, and then the next week it overheats again. They "fix" it again -- and over and over it keeps happening. Do they even know what they are doing? The last time I came to pick her up from here, a lady walked by with her dogs and pulled me aside to say this place ripped her off and she would never come back. We finally got my mother in law to understand, after spending over $2000 and her car is still not fixed! read more

Carlos is great with his staff of professional mechanics. They always keep my big yellow F350 work horse running great!

Great place to bring your car they are honest, fast, helpful and always pick up the phone unlike other garages. Recommend!!!

Called to see if they could do an inspection for the car insurance company and spoke to a guy name Carlos. Other places stated that it would take over 2 hrs and/or I needed to make an appointment weeks in advance, but Carlos said it would take 15-20min, but that it was near closing and the technician was finishing an oil change. He apologized for that and then he offered for me to come in the morning. I called the next afternoon and I asked if I could come in immediately and he said that the guy that would do it was out at lunch, but that I could come in 30min (which seemed pretty immediate). I arrived an hour later and after waiting for several minutes for a few customer cars to clear the garage entrance, my car was checked immediately. Carlos was not there, but the technician (I forget his name now, but it started with a "B") with a very deep voice was very courteous without being obtrusive or causing delay--he efficiently went through the inspection and payment process. And I left 18 minutes after arriving (this included waiting for the customer cars to clear). btw: while I was in the process of checking out, he received a call about a van that had run out of gas at LaCienega and Sunset. After finding out from the tow driver that it would take 45minutes, he informed the guy on the phone that it would take at least 45minutes and asked if he wanted to try a different tow service. I know so many garages that would have just said, "the truck is on its way," leaving an oblivious stranded person waiting, just so they would get the business, but he was honest to the guy on the phone and allowed the guy to make his own choice. In other words, this business seems like its run by good peoples. read more
