After that, they asked me to send an additional photo, which I also sent. Nobody got back to me, so I had to call them myself. A woman told me the mechanic wasn't there and that he would call me back as soon as he came in. That call never happened. The only reason I was trying to speak with the mechanic was because I had ONE simple and completely reasonable question: there is a dent in the damaged area, so I wanted to know how they planned to repair it. Simply painting over the damage would obviously not be enough for me, and I needed to know whether the dent would actually be repaired before bringing my car in. After waiting until the next day with no callback, I called again myself. Instead of simply answering my question, the mechanic became extremely rude and told me that I was calling too much and asking too many unnecessary questions. He then told me that I should go somewhere else because I shouldn't be telling him how to repair a car. I NEVER told him how to do his job. I asked how he planned to repair MY car before trusting his shop with it. That is a completely normal question for a customer to ask. The fact that a customer has to repeatedly chase a business just to get one basic question answered, only to then be spoken to disrespectfully and basically yelled at, is unacceptable. If this is how they treat someone BEFORE even taking their money or starting the repair, I can only imagine how they handle problems once your car is already in their hands. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful experience. Save yourself the frustration and take your car somewhere that actually knows how to communicate with customers. I certainly would never trust this place with my car after the way I was treated.

We just needed a battery - but they came back with a estimate of $1,800. Initially they refused to provide an itemized quote. Claimed there were oil leaks. Eventually received quote, but it was loaded with unnecessary services (brake, fuel injection, transmission, etc..) Nothing to do with actual needs of car. Nothing to even do with "supposed" oil leaks. Note - some of these same services had been done less than 60 days. Final effort to just get battery replaced - after many attempted calls and texts. Eventually, they quoted $195 labor (on a $200 battery). Outrageous! When told to do nothing, we will pick up car. They then tried to charge a $275 diagnostic fee. Never discussed or authorized. Found this place because under CarMax warranty - as they are RepairPal provider. This was such a bad experience, pursuing complaints with Bureau of Automative Repair, RepairPal, CarMax. Images of quotes attached for proof. NEXT DAY UPDATE... - Car was taken today to a reputable mechanic and new battery purchased and installed for $250. - There was never an oil leak reported - and none exists, as today's mechanic confirmed. - why would Carotech quote $195 labor to install a battery? See the evidence. - Why would Carotech recommend brake service, fuel injection service, transmission service, spark plugs - when appointment is made for battery. See the evidence. - Why would Carotech have to be pushed to provide a quote in writing? - Women be aware - unfortunately, Carotech targeted my daughter. She stood her ground and escaped the trap.

I chose this repair shop specifically because of the positive reviews. So many people had great…read morethings to say about the owner and the service they received, and I genuinely thought I was making a good choice. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I brought my vehicle in because of an issue involving my spark plugs and misfires. As the professional, I trusted the owner to properly diagnose the issue and advise me on the appropriate repair. He replaced only two of my spark plugs. At no point did he explain to me that spark plugs are typically replaced as a complete set or recommend that I replace all of them. As the customer, I did not know this--that is exactly why I took my vehicle to a professional. After paying for the repair, my vehicle continued experiencing multiple misfires and the original problem was still present. My brother-in-law and I returned to the shop to have a conversation with the owner and understand his thought process behind the repair. We were both calm and simply asked valid questions: Why was I not advised about replacing all of the spark plugs? Why were only two replaced if that was not going to properly address the issue? Why wasn't I given the information I needed to make an informed decision about the repair? Instead of acknowledging our concerns or explaining the situation professionally, the owner was incredibly dismissive. At one point, while we were asking questions, his response was, "Anyways, well look..." He repeatedly said "anyways" throughout the conversation, essentially brushing off our questions rather than addressing them. His attitude was passive, rude, and dismissive despite the fact that we were simply trying to understand a service I had already paid for. To make matters worse, I was charged a marked-up price for the spark plugs that were installed, yet the repair still did not resolve the problem. When I returned, there was no understanding, accountability, or apology for the fact that I had paid for a repair and was still dealing with the same issue. What disappoints me most is the way the situation was handled. Mistakes and miscommunication can happen in any business. What matters is how you treat a customer when they come back with a legitimate concern. As the owner and the automotive professional in this situation, I expected him to explain his decision, acknowledge that I had not been properly informed of my options, and work toward a reasonable solution. Instead, we were treated as though our questions were an inconvenience. I relied on his expertise because I am not a mechanic. A customer cannot make an informed decision about a repair if the professional never explains what the proper repair entails or presents the available options. I rarely want to leave a review like this, but I chose this business because other customers took the time to share their experiences. I think it is only fair that I do the same. Based on the service I received, the unresolved issue, and especially the dismissive way we were treated when we returned to ask questions, I cannot recommend this shop. DO NOT GO HERE.

I kind of wonder if the previous location pulled one on me by saying I needed something when I might not of, but I didn't need to worry about that here.
