They scheduled the job and called a couple days before to confirm. My property is on a slope so access to the yard is difficult. Elliot & sons had some of the newest equipment allowing access without destroying the lawn (in the rain no less!) They did all the work expected and a few little extras along the way. Upon finishing they cleaned up the yard and tamped down any ruts. The crew was respectful, friendly and entertaining! As far as cost, the quote was less than I expected. From the very start, Gary Beller listened closely to our objectives and delivered on the full scope of the project with exceptional professionalism. Gary's collaborative approach set Beller Logging apart. One aspect we truly appreciated was how thoughtfully Gary managed relationships with our woodlot neighbors. Living about 10 miles from the property, we were grateful that he recruited and compensated a nearby neighbor to keep an eye on the logging equipment. We found that this fostered goodwill in the community. In fact, an adjacent landowner was so impressed with Gary's work that they hired Beller Logging to perform the same style of harvest on their property. Gary accessed that job using the log landing on our land and, in return, fairly compensated us for that use -- a true win-win-win for everyone involved. Although he offered us the option to install a trail camera to track the number of truckloads leaving the property, we never felt the need. Rather than skidding, a forwarder is used to carry the logs out of the woods and prevent damage to standing trees. Storm damaged or uprooted trees can be harvested as you wish. We keep stump height as low as possible. All of our work is done in accord with sound forest management principles, and existing woods roads maintained to their original condition.
