On Wellesley Island at 6:30 AM, chain saws were cutting, 15 minutes later the wood chipper was grinding. Very Loud. Woke several neighbors up. I personally walked over to the workers and spoke with the owner who never shut anything off, so we yell talked the entire time. Eventually he said, "I do not want to be an a**hole, do you want me to shut down until 8 AM?"
I said, "yes and thanks." and walked away.
apparently, my sarcasm detector wasn't fully awake because he kept working non stop until almost 10 AM.
While they broke no laws, they surely had no problem bothering and waking neighbors so early in the morning, nor did they have a problem being disrespectful of a neighbor who came and asked them to shut down until a reasonable hour of 8 AM.
Bottom line, if a company is willing to be disrespectful to your neighbors, chances are, they are willing to be disrespectful to a client too. read more
