B&M seems to have filled the void that Woolworths left behind and, although I'm not sad to see Woolies go, I'm not exactly enthusiastic to see B&M arrive. I don't mean to be mean but I'm just non-plussed when it comes to this kind of store. In fairness, B&M is much more of a Wilko's-a-like than a Woolies.
Wandering in I must admit I was taken aback at how busy it was for a school day - there were people all over the place grabbing bargains and queueing for dear life. It felt like I was the only one not in on the secret - was the world ending? No. It's just the people of Pudsey love the B&M goodness. At rightly so, after all, one can buy some seriously cheap cushions, cushion covers, throws, crisps, snacks, canned goods, duvet sets, prints, rugs, wool, sweets and much, much more. They are also selling a faux fur blanket that, I SWEAR, is the softest most AMAZING feeling thing I have ever touched. Really, it was beautiful!
