The snapper was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor, and the sides did not disappoint. My husband went with the crab legs, which were also amazing! Our waiter, Eisa, was great and really helped make the lunch special. I mentioned that it was my husband's birthday, and the staff went all out...they brought him a complimentary dessert, sang Happy Birthday, and even put the Mr. Shuck's chain on him for the celebration. He loved it! And of course, we had to celebrate properly with Hennessy Sidecars and a couple shots of Hennessy. Great food, great service, and such a fun birthday vibe. Our servers were friendly, fast, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, including drink refills--they were always one step ahead. The atmosphere was impressive. The restaurant was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the background music created a relaxed vibe. I also loved that kids can draw on the paper tablecloths, and there are TVs at the bar if you're catching a game. It's a fantastic place for lunch, but it would also make a great date night spot. Nice market with a good selection, but very pricey. Per many other reviews, my husband and I both had fried shrimp. It was excellent. He got the large platter and could barely eat it all. The regular platter was very plentiful. He got sweet potato fries as his side - excellent choice. I went wrong with my side - Mac n cheese. It was homemade and OK. To me it was like a very creamy and very cheesy Kraft with added pimentos. But to be honest , I make a killer southern mac n cheese and am pretty picky. So it is probably totally fine for most folks. We did have to wait quite a while for the food. We got there just 15 minutes before closing. There were a couple folks that had just ordered and were waiting. Then when I meandered through the whole store and came back twice to find it was still in process, I found out that someone had called in an huge order for 10-12 people just 15 minutes before closing. Amazing that people do things like that. Anyway, the staff was nice, patient, accommodating and doing the best they could. We weren't in a hurry. I just felt bad for them trying to get closed. I absolutely loved the Brunswick stew, it had all sorts of good vegetable vegetables in it, but was also very thick. The cornbread was so sweet and moist. The fried shrimp were solid, I couldn't finish them all just because they were very fried, but I enjoyed them. As I was waiting for my food to be prepared, (it only took about five minutes) I enjoyed walking around the little general store. It was everything from up stay up scale gift items to bakery to a grocery store where you could buy alcohol to a beach shop, it was a really great place. I took my meal to go and sat outside. The lady had advised not waiting too long or the shrimp would get soggy.

We opted to wait in the lobby on the benches they provide. While waiting we noted that they have indoor seating, outdoor starting in a screened in porch, and bar seating which is first come first serve. After a short wait, the hostess took us to our table, a two-top covered with butcher block paper. We met our server who was polite and promised us some samples of shrimp (that we never got - but other tables did). Our server did a great job answering questions we had about the menu and even provided some helpful suggestions. Please note, the tables a located close together, so if the table beside you has a loud talker, you can feel like part of their convo. We opted for 2 shrimp dinners (16 shrimp with 2 sides and choice of bread or hush puppies - get the hush puppies). I opted to have my shrimp served fried and broiled with cocktail sauce. For my sides, I ordered the garlic potatoes (roasted potatoes with their garlic butter - like a shrimp boil) and fried okra with a side of ranch. My wife opted for the shrimp dinner with cole slaw (their slaw is closer to a vinegar base with a sweet taste) and the garlic potatoes. We waited a little longer than we expected for our food and we noted that tables that were seated after us got their food before we did.
