We arrived late at night after a long drive down from Santa Fe, the front desk girl was really…read morenice, seemed to be in a cheerful mood, and made check in go by smoothly. We settled into the room just fine, it was spacious and seemed pretty clean. Aside from the window curtains needing a wash, I didn't really see anything that stood out to me as being that dirty. I checked the beds and they were both fine. The pillows could be a bit better, they were pretty flat and didn't offer much support. The "pull out" sofa sucked, it was quite hard and it was confusing trying to figure out how it folded out as it isn't your typical fold out sleeping sofa. You had to take all of the cushions and pillows off then grab two little handle things to flip the top half of the sofa onto the ground to open up the "bed" which is basically just a support box like you would put under a mattress. I also wish they had a slightly bigger trash can in the room, we have booked a suite for two nights with six guests in it and there was only one small can in the kitchenette and one small can in the bathroom. Breakfast was as you'd expect at a hotel. There wasn't a ton of seating so we ended up taking it back to our room.

He even called to ensure we were ok afterwards. Great guy. A bit older but decent w a small kitchen. Lamps and furniture were updated. Electrical and plumbing fixtures were older. Bathroom was a bit older but not ancient. Breakfast was ok as well. Waffle machine; juice machine; 2 hot dishes; cereal bar; Not the biggest spread but ok. Facility is ok, staff was great

Oh, where do I even begin with my enchanting stay at the illustrious "La Qui a" (formerly "La…read moreQuinta," but, apparently, keeping all the letters lit is just too much effort). This place redefines the term "hidden gem"--hidden under layers of grime and questionable decision-making. Let's start with the lobby. Nothing says "welcome" quite like stepping over a vagabond rummaging through the trash cans. At least they seemed friendly--probably better customer service than the actual staff. Oh, and the smokers' convention happening directly outside the entrance? Fabulous touch. Nothing gets you in the mood for a relaxing getaway like walking through a nicotine cloud thicker than morning fog. The room! Ah, the room. The atrociously stained carpets are clearly the hotel's crown jewel. It's like an abstract art installation that screams, "Guess what this stain is!" I tried not to look too closely--it's for the best. (See photo) Then there were the pillows. Or should I say pillow halves? Yes, you read that correctly. They've somehow managed to engineer a pillow that is both hilariously small and utterly useless. Perfect for guests who sleep on their elbows, I suppose. The bathroom light deserves its own award. It flickers on with the same unhinged energy as a strobe in a horror movie. Truly an experience--because who doesn't love feeling like they're about to be interrogated in an asylum at 2 a.m.? Not to mention the fly that was dead in the light itself. (See photo) Annnnd, how could I forget the cherry on top of this already magnificent stay? The unexpected live theater production right outside our door, courtesy of displaced neighbors embroiled in a verbal showdown. While my heart truly goes out to those affected by the flooding (their circumstances are tragic and undeserved), I could've done without the front-row seat to a shouting match that rivaled a daytime talk show. But hey, at least the acoustics in this fine establishment allowed us to hear every word with perfect clarity. Truly an immersive In conclusion, if you're looking for a hotel that makes you question every life decision you've ever made, this is the place for you. Five stars--oh wait, sorry, that's probably just the ceiling mold pattern

The ladies in the kitchen are sitting down gossiping and telling stories . The guest room has holes everywhere . Bed and pillows are uncomfortable. Breakfast was the same thing all 3 days we stayed . The waffles mix comes out spongy and the sausage I think they just re heat day after day. The coffee was the only thing decent .

Stayed and upgraded (paid more) for a bigger room for the family. Comfy and quiet. Renovating always is a challenge. Early morning noise and added safety issues. More trip hazards - dust / dirt / holes in sidewalks and curbs. Workers park in all the closest parking spaces. Extra caution always necessary for everyone. A discount would be reasonable. Cords on floors - exposed interior walls and so on. Staff always friendly. Breakfast is good too. Great location in town. Once complete will stay again !!

The hotel was under construction-only one entrance to the hotel was open and it involved walking…read moreTHROUGH the construction-my wife almost tripped on the tarp which had things under it. There was trash and construction debris everywhere, and we often had to walk under the scaffolding platforms to get in and out of the property. We paid a high pet fee ($75) and due to the construction there was nowhere on the property to even walk the dog (who is small-10lb). The windows in the room were covered with plastic tarps from the outside, the hallway smelled of pain and wallpaper adhesive, and the floor under the new carpeting had several uneven spots. I made my reservation directly with the hotel and they made NO) MENTION of this construction and even suggested I prepay my stay to save a few bucks. I suspect this was so I could not drive up to the property and change my mind. When checking out, I mentioned that I thought the pet fee was excessive considering the fact we had to walk off the property to walk the dog, and the desk clerk said she would have the manager call me. It has been a week, and no phone call. Do yourself a favor-there are several hotels within a block or two of this property-stay at one of them.

While the employees…read moreof this hotel were all very friendly and extremely accommodating to my travel companion in a wheelchair, the general manager of this hotel- Consuela- was as rude, unkind, and unaccommodating as could be. She barged into a room where a man was in a wheelchair and undressed, demanding he leave immediately because he was in the room 17 minutes past check out. She kept telling me she was going to call the police- which would have been a hilarious phone call- what could she say, "A man in a wheelchair is having a hard time checking out on time!" My companion had a fall this morning which required three hotel workers to assist in helping him back to the chair, which they kindly did. Perhaps this general manager, Consuela, could have been a little bit more empathetic given the situation as opposed to threatening to charge me for an extra night, which she still might do given that she told me I was horrible at my job being an assistant to my companion. I do not write reviews unless someone truly deserves one. This woman deserves to experience the consequences of making a handicapped person feel helpless and undermined.

The Good: *Super fast and reliable WiFi *DirectTV® w/ an actual guide *Indoor pool and hot tub! *Restaurant (Oasis Bar & Grill) on the first floor. Food was actually not bad, but our expectations were pretty low, given the reviews. *Staff is really friendly *Nice gym with treadmill, bike, and elliptical, as well as some free weights and yoga mats. *Ice machine on all the floors *Keurig® coffee machine in-room (this should be the industry standard fwiw) *Dove® pump hand soap dispenser in the bathroom. While this seems like a small thing, every other hotel still uses those snark bar soaps that are kind gross imo. *AC with an "always on" fan function for white noise. The Meh: *Laundry facilities on-site charge ($1.25/wash $1.25/dry), so bring quarters *Bed was a touch too hard for my liking, but pillows were decent. *Exhaust fan in bathroom but no switch to turn on? Just for looks? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *When we arrived, we found that our room hadn't been cleaned/made-up from the previous stay. Evidently, it was some kind of snafu in the system, but the maids were quick to take care of it for us. TLDR: Great place to stay when on the hunt for visitors. Would've been 5-stars, but the hard bed
