Connections are important but reliability is everything. And Jay is the definition of reliable. Jay and his team (Sherri and Deb) handled every aspect of my wedding which allowed me to breathe and enjoy the day without worry. However, closer to the my wedding date the communication went down hill. They were every unprofessional and even my bridal party mentioned how rude and mean they were for the rehearsal practice we had. Sherri mentioned multiple times she didn't have time because she had other events to attend. But I paid for services that I never received. On the contract it states that they will provide stress free coordination which is NOT what we had. If anything they provided more stress and I had to tell my bridal party to keep them away from me on the day of the wedding. Myself and my fiancé had to do all of the leg work and all the vendors knew exactly the events of the wedding EXCEPT for Barry and Sherri. This was a destination wedding for me and it was different NOT WORTH paying them for their poor service. I delivered all my welcome bags, had my bridal party set up the venue, the groomsmen had to set up the boardwalk chairs. It was a waste of money since we had to do everything ourselves. Also when I inquired about what they were able to do they got offended. But as a client and customer I have every right to know/understand what I'm paying for! Even the things that fell under their description they did not do! They were very quick to send the invoices to be paid and yell at me and my fiancé that it 'has to be paid NOW!'. This shocked me and my fiancé since we didn't have a payment issue with them. Do not do any business with this business. I feel scammed by the service I received and added more stress to my special day. Also the vendors that they work with I was told by Sherri to contact them myself since she didn't get along with them. If she's the coordinator why isn't she organizing the vendors?...now I know why she doesn't have a good relationship with the vendors. It's not them (vendors) it Turnkey events (Barry & Sherri) poor customer service and lack of personal skills.

They even agreed to provide me with tablecloths in red. I didn't feel comfortable paying the full price ahead, but they were ok with me paying the half. David wanted to talk to me over the phone to make an arrangement. When I spoke to him, he even asked me the reasons for the rentals. I told him that it was my birthday party. I felt that he cared about his clients. Everything arrived on time and functional. He even gave us a little present with a birthday card. It was pleasant doing business with them. We hired Amanda for a dance event in Miami. She seemed very excited to work with us. She seemed…read moretalented with great vision. What we realized after working with her intensively for 4 months is that she accepts a lot of clients and has no heart in her work. Here are a few details: What we liked about Amanda: - she never got frustrated in our communication. she held a cool demeanour. shes very personable. - she felt like family, we bonded well with her - she always showed up for site visits (we had 3 site visits leading up to our event) - she thinks very well on her feet. the day before the event, we had a forecast of rain. Amanda quickly got us a tent and also came up with a great backup plan - she shares openly. even before we booked her, she shared 3-4 venues with her. we ended up booking our own venue though as we did not like her venues (they were too wedding-oriented - we are a dance company)! Why we will never be working with Amanda again: - she showed up to our event with NO sleep (She has a little baby) and told us the morning of our event that she was running on caffeine and exhausted! - she does not protect the client from 'shocks' and uses phrases like 'its not good its not good' for the simplest small issues (she freaks out)! - she is VERY disorganized. she forgets things easily and needs several reminders. - she does not take notes during walk-throughs. she says she has a photographic memory (she does not) - she had NO energy at our event. she wore gym clothes when she showed up to set up at 8 am, didnt change for the event. - she was supposed to introduce us as an MC - it was in the production flow - and since she looked so tired and hadn't even changed (!!), we eliminated that whole section during the event as we did NOT want her to be the face of the event with. She couldn't care less and had no apology or care that it affected the flow of our event. - her staff were TERRIBLE. they were off-the-street promo girls and had no idea what was going on and I had to go up to them several times during the event and REMIND them for example to start handing out FOOD since the line ups were taking so long - she uses very expensive vendors who REALLY DROPPED THE BALL BIG TIME. She makes big promises, but they dont hold through. - the catering company she recommended (UNIQUE CATERING) didnt have PLATES at the event. Our guests had to grab 3-4 tapas-style dinner items and had no way of carrying them back to their tables!! when we told Amanda about it at the event, she smirked 'its tapas, thats why no plates'. She made NO effort to improve the flow of the event. How does one carry 4 tapas items in individual containers without a plate or something to carry them on? - she completely dropped the ball on lights/ laser/ sound set up. We had asked for laser lights to be placed on the back wall and projected TOWARDS the stage. This was a big deal as we are a DANCE COMPANY and light set up is very important. When they came in to set up, Amanda was missing and they ended up setting up on the front wall. Our event looked BARE with white walls, an ugly ceiling, and absolutely no DECOR. This was despite going ALL OUT with decor, hashtag walls etc - the hashtag wall was not well thought out. The words were written so low that when people stood in front of it, it covered the entire hashtags! - Amanda does not have flexibility in her budget. She has a standard set of vendors and unless you are willing to pay crazy amounts (she calls it Miami pricing but our Assistant was able to find much better pricing across the board), she is unable to accommodate your needs. She doesn't have staff who can make calls and get you vendors to match your needs. - Amanda has little to NO integrity. After the event, she completely went missing and emailed us saying she is in the Caribbean for an event. It has been over 2 weeks and she has not followed up with vendors regarding the return of our security deposit etc. Our Assistant had to email vendors themselves this morning as we have given up on Amanda - Amanda will talk her way through and out of most situations, but she doesnt come through for her clients. Her initial 'charm' doesnt match her quality.
